Idyll Ridge isn't just a cabin; it’s a labor of love. Every beam and detail was handcrafted with an emphasis on design and thoughtfulness. The first "aha" moment happens the second you walk through the door and see the architectural intention behind the build, framed perfectly by full-lite glass walls that make the 9-acre forest feel like your living room.

The Ritual of the Two-Night Stay
To truly decompress, we recommend a minimum two-night stay to fully embrace the pace of the woods:

Evening One: Arrive and exhale. Fire up the wood-fired hot tub—a ritual in itself—and cook a meal in the well-stocked kitchen.

The Full Day: Wake up to the forest canopy through the glass walls. Sip coffee in bed, then head out for the day. We are ideally located for a hike up Saddle Mountain, a trip to the Nehalem River, or a coastal excursion.

The Return: Come home to a private sunset in the hot tub and a slow walk along our private forest trails.

The Departure: One final morning stroll through the trees leaves you refreshed and ready to tackle the world again.

Modern Off-Grid Living
"Off-grid" here is a premium feature, not a sacrifice. While the home is powered by high-end sustainable systems, we have a full backup generator to ensure you never lose power. You’ll enjoy a massive modern shower, a two-person soaking tub in the loft, and a kitchen ready for any culinary project.

Idyll Ridge is located in the heart of Clatsop County, offering a rare balance of deep-forest privacy and proximity to Oregon’s best outdoor recreation.

Hiking: We are a short drive from the trailhead of Saddle Mountain for those seeking a challenge and 360-degree views.

Water: Explore the nearby Nehalem River or various mountain lakes for kayaking and fishing.

The Coast: The iconic Oregon coastline is within easy reach for day trips to the beach.

Guest access
You have exclusive, private access to the entire home and the full 9 acres of forest. This includes our network of private hiking trails and the wood-fired hot tub. The property is designed for absolute seclusion; once you pull up the drive, the rest of the world disappears.

Digital Detox by Design
In our mission to provide a true sanctuary, we have intentionally excluded Wi-Fi and television. Most guests find that the "aha" moment of true disconnection is the most valuable part of their stay. Cell service is available.

The Hot Tub
The hot tub is wood-fired, which means it requires a little bit of "work" to heat up. Guests tell us that tending the fire and watching the steam rise is one of the most meditative parts of the Idyll Ridge experience.
