Welcome to Hyoja Stay!

Hyoja Stay is a han-ok located quietly in a residential area near Gyeongbokgung (the main palace), which has lots of historical background! It is a good place to enjoy the sun shines in the yard in the morning, listen to the rain on a rainy day, and spend a peaceful weekend.

If you cannot make a reservation for the date you want, check out our other hanok accommodations through the host profile :)

The space
/ Things We Value /

• CLEANLINESS - Bedding and towels are cleaned for each guest, and space is also thoroughly cleaned.

• SPACE - Hyoja Stay is a space that remodeled traditional Korean house han-ok in modern style. All of our furniture, electronic devices, and accessories are things that our couple is also using or would love to use.

• BEDDING - We provide MUJI products for bedding. We carefully selected it because it is the fabric that touches the skin of the guest for the longest time.

• MUSIC & BOOK - We did not deliberately put TV on Hyoja Stay. Instead, there are music and books. This is also a way of life that our couple is aiming for. It is our hope to keep our guests focused on music, books, and conversations with people who stay with you during the stay at Hyoja Stay.

• FOOD & COFFEE - Seochon Food Culture Street, located within walking distance, is a nice place to enjoy a variety of Korean local food. There are also a lot of roaster coffee houses and trendy pubs around Hyoja Stay. We will recommend places that we foodie couple like.

• SAFETY - Hyoja Stay is a place which has been approved as a tourist convenience facility and a place for Korean-style house experience in Jongno-gu. There are digital door lock and fire extinguishers(fire extinguishers, flashlights, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, etc). There are Gyeongbokgung and Blue House nearby, so security is great in this area.

Where you’ll be

Seoul, South Korea

This district is called Seochon, and Seochon is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Jongno in northern Seoul. It translates as "West village" or "Western village" as it is west of the Gyeongbok Palace.

Seochon is a town that has developed slowly for a long time, and various cultural heritages remain, as well as a food culture street where you can enjoy a variety of Korean food. It can be said to be one of the most attractive neighborhoods where the past and the present of Seoul are charmingly blended.

I've been an Airbnb host for 7 years and am also a leader of the Seoul Airbnb Host Community. Personally, I enjoy traveling and decorating spaces, and I run a hanok accommodation in Seoul based on my experience traveling to various countries. The accommodations I run are not just places to stay, but carefully designed to be part of your trip. We created a comfortable and special space with carefully selected furniture and accessories while maintaining the atmosphere of a traditional hanok. As if traveling is not just a move, it is a process that creates new experiences and memories, so we hope that your time at our accommodation will be a precious memory for our guests.
