Built for unforgettable gatherings, this immersive cabin retreat blends rustic charm with long-range mountain views, and curated spaces designed for families, friend groups, game weekends, and fireside nights under the stars.

The space
Hoot Owl Hollow
Stroll the more than 3-acre property, admire the muscadine grapevines, the budding apple trees, and enjoy the peaceful setting that makes Hoot Owl Lodge feel like a true mountain escape.
Great Room (Main Floor)
The heart of the Lodge, the Great Room is designed for gathering. Relax on the ultra-comfortable nest couch while enjoying your favorite shows on the 65-inch Smart TV, playing a round of chess, or listening to a record from the Deaf Man Vinyl shop (Blue Ridge) on the record player. With soaring ceilings, an indoor gas fireplace, and large windows to showcase the mountain views, it's the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.

The dining table seats eight guests, creating the perfect setting for family meals, board games, or planning the day's adventures.
Appalachian Kitchen (Main Floor)
Our fully equipped kitchen is ready for everything from quick breakfasts to holiday feasts. You'll find modern appliances, a pull-out prep/breakfast table with seating for four, pantry, coffee station, cast iron cookware, a blender, a crockpot, baking essentials, dishes, utensils, and a plethora of spices to cook and serve meals for your group.
Buck Moon Suite (Main Floor Primary Bedroom)
A cozy king suite with comfortable bedding, Smart TV, dresser, walk-in closet, and a private en-suite bathroom.
Hoot Owl Suite (Upstairs)
A peaceful king bedroom with inviting mountain-inspired décor, Smart TV, walk-in closet, and private perch balcony.
Whispering Pines Loft (Upstairs)
A relaxing loft retreat featuring a queen bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a dedicated work-from-home station for guests who need to stay connected. Binoculars are provided for birdwatching and enjoying the surrounding mountain scenery.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the cabin, and is ideal for: high-speed browsing, video streaming, working remotely, Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings, and multiple devices connected at once.
Camp Smoky Bear (Downstairs Bunk Room)
Named after my son's favorite stuffed teddy bear, Camp Smoky Bear is perfect for kids and the young at heart. This bunk room features two twin-over-twin bunk beds, walkie-talkies, giant checkers, and family games for hours of fun.
Full Bathrooms (One on Each of the Three Floors)
Three full bathrooms feature fresh towels, starter toiletries, hair dryers, and lighted makeup mirrors to help everyone get ready with ease.
Half Bath & Laundry
The convenient main floor powder room also includes a full-size washer and dryer, making longer stays and family vacations even more comfortable.
Squatch Saloon & Arcade (Downstairs Game Room)
Entertainment for everyone! Enjoy:

Blue Ridge Bark Park (Downstairs)
Your four-legged companions will love the Bark Park, a fully fenced in yard where they can play and stretch their legs.
Hoot Owl Lodge is proudly dog-friendly and includes:

• Dog toys (including crinkle toys, rope toys, and a tennis ball launcher)
Parking
A fully paved wraparound driveway provides easy access and ample parking for multiple vehicles. A covered carport offers additional protection from the elements, making arrivals and departures convenient in any season.
Guest access
Self Check-In
Guests can access the home any time after check-in using the smart lock. A backup lockbox with a house key is available if needed, and detailed instructions will be provided before arrival.
Please Note
• The cabin is exclusively yours during your stay; there are no shared indoor or outdoor spaces.
• An owner's closet and a few locked utility/storage areas are reserved for housekeeping and maintenance and are not accessible to guests.
• The cabin sits at the end of a quiet mountain road, offering privacy and a peaceful setting.
• Cell service may vary depending on your carrier, but high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the cabin.

✔ Short gravel incline leading to the cabin
✔ 4WD or AWD is not necessary, but use caution during heavy rain, snow, or icy conditions

• Lock your vehicle doors.
• Never approach, feed, or attempt to photograph wildlife up close.
• If you encounter a bear, give it plenty of space and allow it to move away naturally.
Remember, you are visiting their home.
Even though Hoot Owl Lodge receives routine professional pest service, you may occasionally see a harmless visitor inside, especially during seasonal changes.
