Escape to the countryside in our cozy, custom-built Tiny Home, designed for comfort, privacy, and a true rural retreat. Nestled on a working farm, the space blends modern amenities with rustic charm.

• No dryer — please air-dry indoors
Outdoor Comfort

Parking
• Gravel spot directly in front of the Tiny Home’s patio entrance for easy unloading
Pets
• Include your dog in your reservation — $40 pet cleaning fee
• Dogs must be supervised outdoors; you should be with them to clean up
• Well-behaved dogs may be off-leash near the Tiny Home if they stay nearby and do not jump, chase, or disturb others
• Leash required if excitable, aggressive, or off the cabin area — especially on trails or in the bush
• Towels for muddy paws provided
Bugs & Nature
• Nestled on a working farm; you may see mosquitoes, ladybugs, wasps, or flies
• Bug traps and a fly swatter provided
• Mosquitoes most common in summer evenings near fire pit or BBQ
• Being in nature, some insects are unavoidable
No Smoking / Fire Safety
• Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the Tiny Home
• No lit candles or open flames indoors
• The Tiny Home is a wood building; these rules help us maintain it safely for years to come
Guest access
Free Parking & Getting Here:
Our free private parking is located just beside the Tiny Home on the gravel driveway. Easy access and check-in instructions will be provided before your stay.
Fire Pit:
Relax in front of the fire pit located just steps from your cabin — perfect for cozy evenings under the stars. Firewood, and kindling is available for $12 per bag. Please request in advance to ensure availability during your stay.
Walking Trails:
Take a peaceful stroll through our beautiful 40-acre bush lot, with trails winding gently through the trees — a perfect way to connect with nature. Please note that the trails are not marked, so it’s best to stay on the visible paths, especially if you’re walking with dogs. Some parts of the bush back onto neighboring properties, so we kindly ask that you remain on the trails and respect the surrounding land.
Biking:
Our quiet, low-traffic area is perfect for cycling, with most nearby roads paved for a smooth and enjoyable ride. Please note: you’ll need to bring your own bikes, as we do not have any available on-site.
Winter Wonderland – Ski, Snowshoe & Toboggan!
In the winter months, the countryside transforms into a peaceful snowy escape — perfect for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or simply enjoying the crisp air and quiet beauty. There’s even a gentle hill right behind the cabin that’s great for tobogganing! Please bring your own gear for all winter activities, as we do not provide equipment. As always, please enjoy the trails and hills at your own risk.

Family Farm & Event Space
Our property includes the family farmhouse and the charming rustic wedding and event barn at Fermanagh Farms. Year-round, the barn hosts weddings, corporate events, and private parties—typically on Fridays, Saturdays, and
Sundays.
We hold tours for prospective clients throughout the year, usually on weekends. While we do our best to respect your privacy and keep these tours discreet, we may not always provide advance notice. Rest assured, these visits do not disturb your cabin space, though you might see some guests walking around the property during your stay.
Location & Nearby Attractions - No On Property Swimming
While the Country Cabin is not located near a lake or river and does not offer swimming facilities, there are nearby beaches for guests seeking aquatic recreation:
• Centennial Beach in Barrie – approximately 40 minutes away.
• Innisfil Beach – approximately 30 minutes away.
In addition to the beaches, the Country Cabin is an excellent base for exploring nearby attractions, including:
• Canada’s Wonderland – Just 15 minutes away, perfect for families and thrill-seekers.
• Palgrave/Caledon Equestrian Park – Located 15 minutes from the cabin, ideal for those visiting with horse trailers. We also offer space and electricity for camper trailers.
• North Toronto K9 Centre in King Township and Tamsu Learning near Tottenham – both within a 15-minute drive, great for dog training or learning opportunities.

Arriving in the Dark or Late at Night
We strongly encourage guests to arrive before midnight for the easiest and safest check-in. If you plan to arrive after 11 PM, please let us know in advance so we can ensure the outdoor lights are on along the laneway.
Important: We will not be available to assist immediately if you arrive past midnight, as we are sleeping and typically do not respond to messages between 11 PM and 7 AM. While we will do our best to help if needed, assistance during these hours cannot be guaranteed. Arriving before midnight ensures a smooth check-in and that we can provide support if necessary.
