Step back in time in an 120 year old farm house. Enjoy the view of Flint Hills from the many windows, while the indoors provide you with modern conveniences. Take a walk to the creek, or just roam the Kansas prairies. In the evenings, spend time around the outdoor fire pit, listening to nature and making s'mores. It's a short drive to Strong City and Cottonwood Falls,where you can take in some local history, purchase a few antiques to take home, enjoy a meal at one of incredible eateries.

The space
2 Story rural farm house, bedrooms and full bath on the second floor. Experience how living in the Flint Hills 100 years ago was. Outdoor gas grill provided, fire pit with chairs.
The 2 sided porch, perfect for outdoor dinning and watching the sunrise and set.
The living room is a mix of hunting lodge, country farm house. Original mantel on the non-working fireplace.
Antique iron, full beds in all 3 bedrooms.
Country kitchen, eating space, coffee bar with modern appliances.

Guest access
Complete house and yard. Access to Middle Creek for fishing or bird watching and 2,000 acres to explore.

Other things to note
The area is very scenic. Trees, wildlife, the sky is unbelievable!
Middle Creek is a working Ranch. In the summer you will see cattle in the pastures surrounding the house, along with crops growing and being harvested in the fields .
We love the country life and enjoy sharing it with others. We encourage you to roam the 2000 acres attached to this property. Please feel free to ask about locations to walk/hike while you are staying with us.
We are also located a short drive to The Tall Grass Prairie National Park.
