The space
High on Hill is nestled beneath the main residence, your private self-contained unit offers a lovely bushy retreat space with views from every direction. Your own separate entry, your own private space.

Your space comprises of a light filled open plan lounge / dining and kitchen area upon entry.

LOUNGE - the lounge suite is very comfortable and also includes a double fold out bed, sleeps 2 people.

DINING - includes a large wooden table and seating area that seats 4 people.

KITCHEN - equipped with everything you will need, bench top convection oven with cooktop , microwave, pots, pans, kettle, toaster, and all kitchenware.

BEDROOM 1 - Luxurious Queen size bed & luxurious hotel linen, for you to enjoy, a portable fan, and ocean views from your bed.

BATHROOM - Deluxe shower head, toilet, includes all amenities, and yes you guessed it views from the shower too.

LAUNDRY - for use during your stay, with a washing machine, and clothes rack for drying your clothes.

The unit underneath the solid double brick house stays lovely and cool even in the hot weather with a Dyson fan to keep you extra cool if you desire.

OUTDOOR LOUNGE & GARDEN AREA - We have a lovely outdoor lounge in the private garden, surrounded by protected rainforest, filled with birdlife, enjoy mother nature at it's best, soak in the stunning views and nature while you relax and unwind.

GUEST ACCESS - secure lock box entry code to be messaged or text to you upon booking confirmation.

Check in time 3pm checkout 10am can be flexible if no following or previous bookings.

FINDING OUR PLACE - Our street is a little laneway, off the main road, secluded and quiet, we will ensure you have detailed instructions to find us for your arrival.

LOCATION: Nestled in a quiet little laneway, conveniently located close to the main street of Nambucca, 6 minute walk, Wharf Street Cafe 5 mins walk, Stroll down the boardwalk for a walk along the foreshore, stroll to shops, restaurants and pubs all walking distance. You can walk everywhere if you choose in a few minutes.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole downstairs area, the self contained unit, outdoor dining area and garden.

The garden is shared with the owner but she is most often not around.

Other things to note
The host lives on site in the house upstairs, she is most often away, she is a busy musician and will sometimes be rehearsing so you might hear the sweet melodic sounds coming from upstairs. You may on the odd occasion hear muffled noises from the house above but mostly it's muted and doesn't disturb our guests. Occasionally there will be a gardner attending to the back yard garden.

Please note if you are booking for 2 guests and you would like extra linen for the sofa bed please request this at time of booking as there is an additional fee of just $50.

Also please note: There is construction taking place on the next street, which may cause some noise during the day. While this is outside our control, we want to be upfront so you can plan accordingly. Most guests find it manageable, and we provide earplugs for extra comfort!

Deriving its name from the Aboriginal word meaning ‘entrance to waters’, Nambucca Heads is a relaxed seaside town at the mouth of the Nambucca River. Natural beauty abounds, from the sparkling waters where dolphins play, to the pockets of rainforest that line the shore. The town also has a vibrant arts scene, typified by the colourful outdoor graffiti gallery known as the V-Wall.

Nambucca Heads is one of the most scenic areas to visit on the North Coast of NSW. With 23 kms of stunning coastline, there are beaches for families, for surfing, swimming, and fishing and the Nambucca River estuary is great for kayaking and canoeing.

For sweeping views of Nambucca beaches and beyond, outside of the unit, the Captain Cook Lookout above pretty Shelly Beach is a great vantage point for whale watching when majestic humpback whales migrate along the coast between May and November. In a beachside reserve at Shelly Beach are picnic tables and barbecue facilities, all walking distance from the unit.
