There are many things to do in the area: skiing , mountain-biking, hiking, swimming and a natural thermal Spa (Aqualux). You can do day trips to the nearby lakes in Carinthia or the beautiful city of Graz etc.
The house is 235 square meters in size. The price includes towels and bed sheets. We also offer you free wireless internet and Netflix. We renovated the house in 2012 and again in 2020. The pictures were taken back in 2020 and as we have many satisfied guests some of the rooms might not anymore be as pristine as they are on the photos. However, the house is still in good shape and our house manager Rosemarie cleans and prepares it to a very high standard, as our reviews can attest.
The layout:
Ground floor: (up to 4 guests)
The ground floor consists of a bedroom with a double bed with 45” SmartTV and en suite bathroom and a living room with a pull out sofa that can accommodate 2 additional guests.
First floor:
The first floor consists of an open space kitchen, dinning room and living room with an open fire place and 65” SmartTV. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, Nespresso, mocca, fully automated DeLongi coffee machine, two fridges, freezer and all cooking utensils.
The dinning room consist of 2 large wooden tables that can seat up to 16 people. There are 3 Stokke high chairs and a baby high chair for you to use.The living room consists of a large sofa with bed function. There is a bathroom with large bathtub and a separate WC on the first floor.
4 sleeping rooms on the 2nd floor for up to 8 guests:
Sleeping room 1: equipped with a double bed (180 x 200 cm), wardrobe, sofa and Samsung 43 inch smart TV.
Sleeping room 2: equipped with two single beds, wardrobe and a TV.
Sleeping room 3: equipped with two single beds, wardrobe and a Samsung 43” Smart TV.
Sleeping room 4: Double bed (180 x 200 cm), baby crib and wardrobe.
There is WC and sink on the the 2nd floor
The new loft
Sleeping space for up to 4 people (240 cm x 200 cm XL double bed and 140 x 200 cm bed) and an en suite bathroom. You will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the mountains from the loft. 32” SmartTV
In the basement is a washing machine and a dryer which you can use free of charge. There is also a room for your skiing and hiking equipment.
Two lovely gardens are part of the property. One garden (400 m2) is right next to the house and is equipped with a table and chairs and a sun umbrella.
The second garden is 500 m2 in size and can be accessed by crossing a quiet street. It consists of 5 beautiful old fruit trees and a small play area for kids (slide, sand pit, climbing frame, basketball hoop and small play house).
The Area
The house is located in the beautiful small village of Oberzeiring in the Austrian Alps. The village has 850 inhabitants and a some traditional restaurants. There is a nice grocery store and bakery in town.
In winter skiing is the perfect outdoor activity. 15 minutes away is the skiing resort "Lachtal". One of the largest and most popular ski areas in Styria. 1600m – 2.222m above sea level, 25km blue-red-black runs and 10km ski routes. 150 hectares of sunny ski resort, 2 modern 6-chear lifts
8 ski lifts.
After your skiing trip you can relax at the thermal spa facilities AquaLux in Fohnsdorf (20 min away).
In the summer you can do countless beautiful hikes in the surrounding mountains climbing peaks up to 2500. Enjoy simply a relaxing holiday in the beautiful surroundings or a very active holiday with plenty of skiing, hiking or biking at the nearby facilities.
There are countless beautiful day trips you can do from Oberzeiring:
Graz, the capital of Styria: a lovely student town about 1 hour away
Lakes in Carinthia: within 1 hour you will reach a variety of beautiful lakes for swimming and relaxing.
Benediktinerstift Admont: largest monestary library in the world
We provide free WIFI and Netflix.
Our house manager Rosemarie will prepare the house for you and assist you if needed. .
There is a key box and you you will receive the PIN so you can enter the house on your day of arrival. . We also have a facility manager, Jürgen, he will clear the parking of snow, maintain the house and ensure that fire wood is ready. He can also assist you if there are any urgent issues in the house.
You will need a car. Public transport is poor.
You will have access to the whole house and the gardens.
