🏔️🚗 Mountain Roads & Access

Harmony Place Lodge is elevated at 4000 ft, which means incredible views—and mountain roads. The last 0.5-mile stretch to the cabin is a narrow, winding, hard-packed gravel road with an incline.

✔ While 2WD vehicles can make it to the cabin, we recommend that guests who aren’t used to this type of terrain use AWD or 4WD for added comfort and ease.

✔ We do require AWD or 4WD November to March due to the possibility of snow, ice, and changing mountain conditions.

✔ Our home can't accommodate trailers.

Most guests find the drive manageable and well worth it for the privacy & views. We’re happy to answer questions before arrival.

Other things to note
✔ Cabin/Hot Tub Cleaning Fee (includes thorough turnover before & after each guest) INCLUDED IN TOTAL COST. The hot tub is professionally cleaned after every guest, giving you peace of mind that you'll have a great experience.

✔ We do not offer refunds for last-minute cancellations or if it snows. For this reason, we highly recommend purchasing trip insurance.

✔ The windows in the cabin are original. For preservation and safety, we ask our guests to keep them closed

Welcome! We’re a family who fell in love with Maggie Valley’s mountains, fresh air, and endless outdoor adventures. We purchased this home to give our kids a place to explore nature—skiing and snow tubing in the winter, fishing and hiking in the warmer months. Now we’re thrilled to open it to travelers looking for comfort, relaxation, and a little mountain magic.
