The space

The single-level layout makes settling in easy. Spend a quiet morning over coffee, curl up with a book or game, work comfortably when you need to, and step outside for dinner or an evening around the fire.
The cottage is especially comfortable for couples and solo travelers. It can also welcome a small family or parent-child getaway, with sleeping space for up to four guests.

Guest access
Guests have full, private access to the entire cottage, its front and back yards, and the Farmstead Outdoor Retreat. You are also welcome to enjoy the scenic walking paths around our 5-acre property.
Arrival is simple with easy self-check-in, allowing you to begin your retreat without delay. Free parking is available on the premises.
You’ll pass the chicken area as you arrive and may spot deer, rabbits, groundhogs, and other wildlife around the property. Opportunities to visit the farm animals may be available with us during your stay.
Other things to note
⭆ RURAL FARM SETTING
Hamby Cottage is located in a natural mountain environment. We practice regular pest control, but guests may occasionally encounter insects or other small country visitors such as ladybugs or ants. If you notice anything unexpected, please let us know promptly so we can address it.
You may also hear our chickens or see wildlife moving through the property. These are part of the cottage’s authentic small-farm setting.

Hamby Cottage does not have a television. Guests come here to rest, read, play games, enjoy the outdoors, explore Blue Ridge, and reconnect with themselves or one another.
Reliable WiFi is available when you need to work, stream on your own device, or stay connected.
⭆ SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The cottage accommodates up to four guests, with one queen bed and one full-size sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa is most comfortable for one adult or two children.

For additional peace of mind, we recommend considering trip insurance. Airbnb offers an insurance option during the booking process.
⭆ SAFETY
A smoke alarm and fire extinguisher are provided. The cottage is a single-level home with no interior stairs.
