At the homestead called Hamborg, grandfather's old cottage stands in a beautiful, secluded meadow by Lake Örken. It offers a simple but close to nature accommodation close to the lake, swimming and fishing. Here you can experience total peace and silence far from neighbours.

A rowing boat is available to borrow and a short walk through the forest there is a nice swimming area with a small sandy beach.

There are beautiful surroundings for hiking in the forest or on the gravel roads.

The space
The cabin is without electricity, but some battery and solar cell lighting is available.

In the cabin there is a small stove with a hotplate where you can heat water or simple dishes. There are also a portable gas stove and a charcoal grill.

Basic equipment of household appliances is available as well as a cooler bag which is connected to a 12 volt battery, where a mobile phone also can be charged.
There is also a small root cellar for cold storage. A 15 liter canister of drinking water is also provided.

There is a double bed with duvets and pillows. Own sleeping clothes needs to be brought or borrowed at a cost of SEK 50.

Nearby there is an outhouse with a composting toilet for the cottage's guests.
If you would like to take a shower or use a flush toilet you are welcome to our newly renoveted granary 2km from the cabin.

Cleaning with a vaccumcleaner and if necessary, drying the floor takes place on departure.

The old granary now offers modern opportunities for weddings, parties, courses and gatherings. Lidboholms gård is a manor dating back to the 15th century. Today, the main operation of the farm is forestry and agriculture as well as housing rentals. This is the host's residence and grounds. Lidboholm's farm is a family-owned farm in the heart of Småland by the lake Örken. We conduct agriculture and forestry and rent out houses and apartments for year-round living and vacation. We also have a room for parties and events where we sometimes open for breakfast, coffee or beer and pizza during the summer. Feel free to check out our website Lidboholm. We, who you will be in contact with, are called Elin and Erik, we are siblings and live at the main house of the farm and one of us is always on hand.
