Hale Tiki is your Hawaiian inspired stateside retreat! We’ve got all the “Aloha” charm you’re looking for in the heart of Portland, Oregon.
This spacious, newly renovated and thoughtfully designed daylight basement apartment is a warm, relaxing space to unwind when you’re not out exploring what our beautiful area has to offer.
Convenient, central location close to OHSU, Lewis & Clark and Portland city center.
The space
Our ground floor apartment is located in the lower level of our home, with one wall of floor to ceiling windows letting in tons of natural light with a garden view.
We have fully renovated this space for hosting guests over the past few years. We are thrilled to now be able to offer it to travelers from across the world. This space is fully private with its own private parking area and entrance.
The apartment is south facing and gets lots of natural light, it includes a king size bed with memory foam mattress, sitting area with TV (streaming capable) and electric fireplace for setting the mood on those gloomy Portland days. We have an efficiency kitchen* stocked with locally roasted coffee from Red E roasters. Also comes equipped with cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. Large dining table that can be used for working or enjoying meals. Bathroom that boasts a waterfall shower head, natural soaps and cotton towels for a spa like experience. This is the perfect space for a romantic weekend getaway, Portland adventure stopover, solo explorer or business traveler looking for a clean, well stocked and comfortable spot to lay their heads. And you also get a big side of tiki flare, Aloha!
*We don’t have an oven, but we have a countertop toaster oven.
Guest access
Guests have access to the parking area to the front of the apartment (off 10th). The outdoor seating area outside of the apartment and everything accessible inside the apartment as well. There are two locked doors, one is a supply closet and the other connects to the upstairs. These will remain closed/locked during your stay, thank you!
Other things to note
This apartment is in our home, we have a pup who barks occasionally and there is some house transfer between the two units. We do our best to minimize impact on guests but if you are sensitive to noise this may not be the best option for your visit.
We are a non-smoking rental. Smoking and/or vaping of any substance inside the unit is prohibited. There is a $500 fine if we find evidence of smoking inside the unit upon check out.
*The city of Portland ASTR permit requires us to collect the following information about our guests:
*Full name of EACH guest (proper guest count is imperative).
*Home address
*Phone number
*Email
*License plate number of car(s)-if renting, send the info once you have it.
*Estimated arrival time.
