A charming 1920s mountain cottage.
Girrawheen is bathed in northern light & all rooms have views to the delightful seasonal garden. Both spacious and cosy, it provides a wonderful place to relax. Close to Govetts Leap, bushwalks and an easy stroll to the village. There are three bedrooms (max 6 pers) & three bathrooms. Bedrooms made available according to number of guests. Price varies dependent on number of guests. Dogs welcome with prior approval. No cats.

Dog guests are permitted to stay with prior approval only. They are permitted inside & the property is fully fenced. All dogs must be fully vaccinated & be free of fleas & ticks and owners and dogs must abide by the house rules.

Neighborhood highlights

Girrawheen is located approximately a 5min drive or 20min walk from the village and a 15min walk to Govetts Leap Lookout. Blackheath village is well equipped with supermarkets, delicatessans, bakeries, cafes, pubs and restaurants, book shop, record shop, galleries, antiques shops etc. It is necessary to book a table at local restaurants in advance to avoid disappointment. There are also some fabulous produce and craft markets on weekends. Enjoy a stroll through the Blackheath Memorial Park (with swimming pools in Summer) and the spectacular Campbell Rhododendron Garden in the Spring.

There are several wonderful bush walks close by, including the Braeside Walk, Popes Glen and Pulpit Rock. Please check NSW National Parks and Wildlife website for further information.

Blackheath Growers Market is on the 2nd Sunday of every month (except January) from 8am - 12noon at Blackheath Community Centre, Cnr Gardiner St & Great Western Highway.

Logan Brae Apple Orchard - every weekend during apple season, March through July, you can buy apples, juice and a variety of other produce. Or you can sit on the lawn and enjoy the spectacular views of the Blue Mountains escarpments while eating a homemade hot apple pie.

Dryridge Winery in the Megalong Valley - spectacular views, delicious wines & grazing plates. Dog friendly!
