We have two units under the same roof. Couples traveling together have their own space, yet they can meet on our spacious deck.

This unit, San Juan Gem on the River, and San Jose Gem on the River, each comfortably accommodates a couple. Look them up on Airbnb.

A designated parking spot in a secured, gated area for peace of mind.

Quiet place

The space
Part of a 100-year-old fourplex that is under construction. It may not look pretty from the outside, but inside our units have all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay.

The Mission San Juan unit is located on the banks of the San Antonio River three miles south of downtown and in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The unit is on the first level of the home. It has its own private entrance. To reach your door you will climb several steps to the deck and then walk approximately 50 feet to get to the entrance of the unit. The deck is very well lit should you come in after sundown.

Guests will be happy to know our beds and pillows each have dust mite, bedbug and allergen covers for protection. Rooms have an excellent air-conditioning/heat unit that can be controlled by our guest.


It is only four miles from the Alamo and three and a half miles from Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the downtown area.

This unit is on the main bus line providing visitors the convenience of transportation without parking worries when heading into town.
If you have your own vehicle, we have one designated parking slot per unit located in a secured gated area on the premises. Additional slots if available, are $10 per night.

The unit is also, located within a five-mile radius of all five UNESCO World Heritage Missions/US National Park.

San Antonio Missions National Historical Park (U.S. National Park Service) is a National Park Service site and the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas.

If you are coming in for a Military graduation, Lackland Airforce Base is approximately 14 miles from our home.
If you are active or retired military, we offer a discount. Just reach out to us.

Coming in for a UTSA Football Game, our place is approximately four miles from the Alamodome.

For the sports enthusiasts Mission San Juan unit is located half a block from Riverside Golf course and the Mission reach biking and hiking trails. The trails also provide the nature lover a grand view of lots of river wildlife.

This unit has a great view of the San Antonio Riverbanks which can be seen from the sizable deck that is just outside your door. The deck allows you to enjoy spectacular morning sunrises or evening sunsets with your beverage of choice.

This gem will provide you with all that you need while in our beautiful city -old world charm with modern day conveniences.

Side note, the last unit at our place is being remodeled so there may be some outside dust, construction equipment on the premises. Contractors on only onsite Monday- Friday.


Added note the neighbor on the eastside does have a distressed look to his place which makes for interesting conversation.

Our units do not have a kitchen; however, a hot plate for cooking can be provided if requested.

Neighborhood highlights

The area is residential with a good mix of homes, mobile homes, and apartments. The majority of our neighbors are seniors who have lived in the area most of their lives. You will find our neighborhood very quiet.

On a side note, the neighbor to the east has a distressed look to his yard which could unsightly.

The UNESCO World Heritage Missions are within a five-mile radius of our place and are easily accessible via public transportation.

The Southtown/Blue Star Complex area of town is only three miles from our home. Here you will find many eateries, live music venues and shopping. It is easily accessible via public transportation, bicycles, scooters or foot.

Blue Star is the Anchor of San Antonio Art. A Southtown destination, purposefully curated with places for you to live, create, and recreate. Come and enjoy the Experience of Blue Star.

Just up the street, Tandem, is a local coffee, beer and wine establishment that provides music and vendors on most weekends.

The Mission Reach hike and bike trial is within walking distance providing the sports enthusiast and nature lovers a grand view of the San Antonio River.

Riverside Golf Course is half a block from our place. It features an 18-hole championship layout and a 9-hole par 3 course. The San Antonio River splits the front and back nine. This south-side course is an old fixture of San Antonio that provides a quality golf experience for every ability level. One of San Antonio's oldest golf courses, Riverside's front nine opened in 1929 and the back nine was added in 1961.
