Nestled on Zuikerboschfontein Farm, 40km from Laingsburg and 45 minutes from the historic village of Matjiesfontein, the cottage overlooks spectacular mountain scenery and offers direct access to quiet farm roads ideal for walking, hiking and cycling.

Choosing the Right Cottage
The Gallery Farm Retreat is best suited to adult guests seeking peace, privacy and a slower pace of life. The cottage contains irreplaceable original artworks and Persian carpets, and is not suited to young children or pets.
Families travelling with children, or guests travelling with pets, may prefer our nearby Award-winning Karoo Farm Cottage - our family-friendly option on the same farm that warmly welcomes both children and well-behaved pets. Guests in both cottages enjoy complete privacy from one another.

Guest access
You will have full access to this cottage, all to yourselves. You are welcome to walk, run and cycle on our farm. We love to share this piece of heaven with our guests. Please come ask me where you can walk.
Other things to note
We run our website from the farm (please enquire). You are welcome to order on the website, and select Pick up from Puracy.
We also sell "Doringhout" in a crate with 35 pieces. Please prebook this. This is great for making a fire.
From time to time, we have some of our own free range lamb meat available, please enquire about that.
Should you wish to try some of the area's local wines, please give us some notice before your check in.
We clean properly, but we do live on a farm and share our space with other furry and feathery friends. The birds do love to look at themselves int he windows and leave their evidence on the windowsills. Please excuse them, we do love sharing the space with them.
