The space
Located on 7 private acres, with some of the best views on Deer Island. The space accommodates up to 4 adults and 3 children. Includes a new modern bathroom and lots of space in case rain keeps you off the large, private deck. The accommodation has been intentionally built for indoor/outdoor living with double-wide doors and everything required for grill chefs to show their skills.
There is a parking space for vans, cars, and trailers.
Guest access
Upon arrival, guests can park on the right side of the driveway in front of the garage. There is an immediate walkway on the right to the private entrance from the shore-facing deck area. All space on the lower level is dedicated to the guests' use, with one exception: the artist studio on the same level, which is not part of the rental area.
The path and stairs to the lower level are lit at night by solar-powered spot lighting.
There are trails cut to the shoreline of the cove.
Other things to note
Pets are allowed, but bringing them must be disclosed. There is a fee charged per animal. Pets are NOT allowed to sleep on beds or couches. Please provide your own pet beds. Do not feed pets from dishes in the kitchenette. Please provide your own. Please do pooper-scooper with your dogs in people areas. (These rules around pets are based on what we as hosts have encountered so far. We love animals. ;-))
The art studio is off-limits for unaccompanied children and pets - for everyone's well-being. It will be closed off by a gate, but adults will be able to enter to open/close windows for comfort.
The hosts have a conversation-level in French.
We ask that loads of dishes be washed in the laundry room sink. The last load before leaving can be left in the turquoise tub for hosts to care for.
The indoor/outdoor space provides cooking facilities consisting of:
- a kitchenette with small appliances (see amenities for details)
- a BBQ with a prep table, cooking utensils and pans, just outside the patio doors.
A laundry room on the same level is available if required.

Neighborhood highlights
West Isles Parish, Deer Island, New Brunswick is a collection of small beautiful villages. Most permanent inhabitants are working commercial fishermen. Lamberts Cove, like most villages is named after an historic family. It is one of the smaller communities and as such provides more tranquility and enjoyment of the abundant natural beauty. In the distance one can see the salmon aquaculture on the Passamaquoddy Bay. Closer in to the residence are two houses across the Cove which can actually be visited by walking the Cove when the tide is out. St Andrews by the Sea is visible across the water. Clams can be dug in the cove. Your hosts can help you learn how to do it.
