Wake up to breakfast and coffee

Included essentials make mornings extra easy.
Stargaze beneath a brilliant night sky, breathe in the fresh country air, wander the gardens, or simply slow down and enjoy the peace of rural Tasmania.

In the heart of the Pipers Brook Wine Region, it’s the perfect base for exploring nearby cellar doors, local producers and Tasmania’s beautiful north-east. Or simply stay put — put your feet up, find a sunny spot in the garden, light the fire when the weather turns, and enjoy the luxury of having nowhere you need to be.

The space
Nestled on a hill overlooking our 44-hectare (110-acre) working farm, this semi-detached, one-bedroom, self-contained cottage enjoys picturesque views across rolling farmland, bushland and a neighbouring vineyard.

Styled in the tradition of a 19th-century Tasmanian cottage, it combines old-world country charm with the comforts and conveniences of a modern, energy-efficient dwelling.

The cottage is completely off-grid, with its own solar and battery power supply and rainwater tanks. Wherever possible, reclaimed and refurbished building materials and furnishings have been used, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and a lighter footprint.

The property is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Wander through the gardens, collect fresh eggs and pick herbs for breakfast to enjoy with our own naturally cured and smoked bacon, take a stroll around the farm, or simply find a quiet spot to sit and soak up the surroundings.

Pipers Brook meanders through the property, creating habitat for an abundance of local wildlife. Keep an eye out for platypus, pademelons, possums, spotted quolls, wombats, bandicoots, tassie devils, giant freshwater crayfish and an array of native birdlife.

It’s a peaceful little corner of Tasmania made for slowing down, switching off and enjoying the countryside — with the cellar doors and attractions of the Pipers Brook Wine Region and north-east Tasmania within easy reach.

Lives in Lebrina, Australia
In 2017 we said 'fork it' to the stresses of city life, packed up our lives to become ethicurean farmers. We are a small-scale family run farm, consisting of 12 Berkshire breeding sows, a small herd of cattle, sheep, ducks, geese and bees. We also grow most of our own herbs and vegetables. Our goal is to produce ethical, flavourful food for the local market. Over the past 20 months we have developed our all-natural product range (in our on-farm facility), to utilise the whole animal, which has recently expanded to include our pasture raised duck, goose, beef & lamb. We are also currently developing a range of products which incorporate sustainably sourced Tassie wild game. We put a lot of love into everything we do at Fork it Farm and we love sharing our farm.
