In the West Virginia woods
Surrounded by forest on 5 private acres, with Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs a short drive away
Soaring windows into the forest
Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the forest from a living space with 20-ft ceilings and exposed beams
Thoughtfully curated, worth a return

Surrounded by 5 private wooded acres, sits a minimally-modern and comfortable black cabin. The space was designed to encourage escape, relaxation, and reflection. Enjoy forest views from floor to ceiling windows, and watch sunsets around the fire pit. The cabin is located close to hiking, hot springs, and downtown Berkeley Springs - just 2 hours from DC and Baltimore. The space
The main level is open with high ceilings and west-facing natural light. The kitchen is fully equipped, and a great space to cook with all the essentials. You can enjoy meals sitting around a vintage mid century modern table or outside under the trees. In the morning, enjoy a coffee on us - whether you prefer french press, pour-over, aeropress, or drip.
The living space is inviting, with 20 ft ceilings, exposed beams, and large windows, that frame expansive forest views. Enjoy quiet mornings on the screened porch, evenings by the fire (wood provided), or step out onto the large deck to connect with the beauty of nature.
On the main level there are two cozy bedrooms, with east-facing light. Each are equipped with queen-sized beds and spacious closets. Also on this level is a beautiful bathroom with a shower and tub, large enough for evening soaks.
Walk up the steps to the loft, where a king-sized bed awaits, accompanied by a private full bathroom and a sitting area. Wake up to a view of the forest or lay in bed and watch the sun set over the Appalachian ridges.
The cabin also features a Smart TV in the living room for entertainment, and a propane grill for outdoor cooking. Play board games, gaze at the stars (telescope provided), or practice yoga on the deck (mats and blocks provided). There is also a dedicated work space, with a view!
Enjoy the charm of this newly updated retreat, where modern design meets the beauty of the woods. Book your stay, reconnect to what's important, and make lasting memories at Forest House!

Lives in Baltimore, Maryland
Pets: Roxy our staffy
Hi, I'm Julie. I live in Baltimore, MD with my husband Malcolm and our dog Roxy. We first visited Berkeley Springs, WV to get away and celebrate our anniversary. After our stay we felt relaxed and reconnected - we realized how special Berkeley Springs was. So we decided to buy a cabin to bottle that experience and share it with friends, family, and newcomers.
