"Forbord Dome" is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over the Trondheim Fjord, catch a magical sunset or see the amazing northern lights if you are lucky. The dome is 23 square meters with a window in the ceiling and in the front and it is located on a terrace in two levels with seating area and fire pit.

There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a trip to the top of "Forbordsfjellet"?

The space
Domen is located approx. 10 min from Trondheim Airport Værnes on Stjørdal and approx. 40 min from Trondheim.

Domen is located by itself in the lee up towards "Forbordsfjellet", approx. 300 m above sea level. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the cabin is from 600-1500 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a partly steep forest road from the parking lot to get all the way to the cabin. There are 150 meters of altitude to go up from the farm and up to the cabin, but only 75 meters of altitude from the nearest parking (toll road).

In the cabin there is a ready-made king-size double bed and a seating area for two people.

The cabin is well heated (wood-burning stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days.

You don't have to leave the cabin to go to the bathroom, it has a separate room with a toilet.

You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, and we allow pets inside the dome for an addition to the price. This assumes that they do not stay in the bed or in the chairs and lie in a separate cage at night. Please contact us for more information. We have a great dog house outdoors.

There are 10 liters of drinking water in the cabin upon arrival, otherwise little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus and two saucepans for simple cooking. Remember that the use of the primus must be done outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the fire pit that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.

There are shower facilities down on the farm.

We can also offer our guests something extra for the overnight stay, namely cheese platter or platter with bacon for two people. Both the cheese platter and the platter with bacon costs NOK 500,-. Type of cheese and bacon may vary. Please contact us for ordering after you have booked your stay.

It is steep down in front of the dome so we ask that you do not force the ropes that are set up as a barrier.

Phones can be charged in a separate USB socket. Charging cable without plug must be brought.
