The space
Welcome to our historic one-room schoolhouse—your cozy mountain retreat!
Built in the early 1900s and used as a school until the 1960s, this unique space has been thoughtfully updated while preserving its original charm. You’ll find refinished rustic wood floors, original chalkboards and lights, and high ceilings that make the space feel open and inspiring.

Inside you’ll enjoy:
• One queen-size bed with a luxury Parachute mattress made from ethically sourced wool
• A comfy couch that doubles as a second sleeping space
• 100% organic cotton and natural linen bedding, washed between each stay with free & clear detergent
• A full kitchen with gas range, farmhouse sink, French press, pots/pans, and basic spices
• High-speed Starlink internet
• Updated bathroom with hot shower

The front mudroom is perfect for snow gear and muddy boots. Outside, explore open space to hike, play in the snow, stargaze, or sit by a seasonal campfire. You may even meet our rare Norwegian Fjord horses grazing nearby.

Dog-friendly! Well-behaved dogs are welcome (no cats), but must not be left alone.

Important notes:
• Verizon & AT&T service is limited—good for calls, but not guaranteed
• No ATVs, fireworks, shooting, parties, or smoking
• Respectful visitors allowed during your stay
• Country life comes with nature—bugs may wander in, and wildlife sightings (deer, elk, moose, bear, turkeys, eagles—even mountain lions) are possible

Come ready for adventure, quiet, and starry skies. We can’t wait to host you!
