Your family and friends will love this 3BR/2BA condo in the summer! It is a comfortable home base for all your outdoor activities. You can hike and bike all around Ludlow and the Killington Bike Park is close. The condo has space to store bikes so you don't need to leave them on your car. There is a lake at Camp Plymouth Park just up the road with swimming, kayaking and fishing opportunities. Plus there are tons of cute towns to visit.

Your Ski Experience:
* Located just a 2-4 min walk or ski (depends on conditions) to the top of the A-B lifts.
* Ski directly downhill on some of the easiest runs.
* Winterplace has the only direct access to the express Sunburst Six that has access to the top.
* Direct access to the freestyle park.

Vibe:
Ski all day on Okemo's beautiful terrain. If you have family with you, your beginner skiers will love Okemo. Its family friendly trails make it a breeze for anyone to learn.

When you or the kids are hungry for lunch there will be no need to go and eat with the crowds. While everyone else heads to the lodge, you can ski down to your condo and relax in comfort.

At the end of the day, enjoy the hot tub, swim with the kids or just sit by the fire. Unlimited firewood is included with the unit. It's all there for you at this family-friendly condo.

When your visit ends you will think about how happy you are that you saved the headache of having to pile everyone in the car to get to the mountain. There is nothing like staying slopeside at Five Birch Inn.

We are 35 min from the train station in Bellows Falls if you are coming by train from New York City and just 20 min from the airport in Rutland, VT that has daily flights from Boston.

MTB Trails within one hour include Ascutney, Sherburne, Pine Hill Park, Campground, Killington Bike Park, Mt. Peg and more.

In addition to being located at Okemo, there are several ski mountains within an hour drive, including: Stratton (25 min); Killington (35 min), Bromley (30 Min); Magic Mountain (35 Min), and Mt. Snow (also on Epic) is about 1 hour away

The unit has a smart lock for easy access. Instructions will be provided in email 24 hours prior to check in.

Other things to note
Winterplace has an indoor pool and two hot tubs that all guests have access to. Please note that during the summer months, the hot tubs are closed for maintenance.

Neighborhood highlights

The condo is in Winterplace which sits in a unique location as the only group of homes that can ski from the community downhill to the main lifts, such as Sunburst Six, that take you to the top of the mountain. All of the other communities require you to ski to the bottom of the A-B Lifts and ride them up, slowly, to the spot where Winterplace is located. Also, with just a little effort, it is possible to ski from Winterplace directly down to Jackson Gore, so you have access to both sides of the mountain.

The community has an awesome indoor pool and two hot tubs (see photos).

From Winterplace, it is about a 5 min drive into Ludlow. There are a number of great restaurants and bars, as well as some nice shops.

Husband and father of three. I love the outdoors. I started hiking as a kid, got into whitewater in my 30s, mountain biking in my 40s, and skiing in my 50s. My wife is a better skier than me which has made it a great family activity. All of our kids took it up in their teens/pre-teens. My son loves it the most, but the girls have fun with it too. We've just purchased a place in Vermont and look forward to more time together.
