The space
If you're looking for something unique and different this is it! Enjoy being in the middle of all the activity in Fairport on the Erie Canal. There's so much to do in the area, but you won't want to leave! Kayak on the canal, watch the crew teams row by, fish off the dock and enjoy music from various outdoor venues, the ringing of church bells daily, the sounds of nature and also...the trains going by across the canal. It is a true mix of peace & quiet and then sometimes lots of activity. There are train whistles, noise from crew teams and boats, the Colonial Belle goes by with waving passengers and the lift bridge horns blow occasionally.

Local Farmers market on Saturdays. Free music at the gazebo on Thursdays. Just about everything is a 5 to 10 minute walk. The interior is just as beautiful with many extras - colorful decor, great local artwork that can be purchased , MacKenzie Childs home decor and cookware. Brand New Air Fry Oven Electric Stove.

Dining area overlooks the Fairport Lift Bridge and Canal. Table seats 6 with Bar area that seats 4 or 5. Sit on the balcony, have a moscow mule and enjoy the view.

Living room has electric fireplace and 25 dvd movies from Fairport's own Philip Seymour Hoffman. Play some cards on our fun game table in the living area.

Two Bedrooms are very large with new King Size Adjustable Beds. Raise them up to watch tv or read. Brand new bedding, window air conditioners, extra fans, dressers, TVs, large closets and both include a fun vanity with light-up makeup mirror. for getting ready.

It is a unique triangle shaped building and you do have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the cozy 3rd bedroom which includes brand new full size mattress, lots of fluffy pillows, a dresser, fan, nautical decor, with adjoining office space and huge walk in closet.

The bath has been newly tiled with white subway and black penny tile.

Feel free to bring your boat to dock. Convenient Kayak, Paddle Board, and Bike rentals walking distance directly across the canal, with a formal kayak launch.

We have two designated parking spots right in front of our home and one extra space that you use if needed as well. You can walk just about everywhere within 5 to 10 minutes.

Other things to note
About a 10 to 12 minute drive to St. John Fisher and Nazareth College. 20 minutes to downtown Rochester. 1 to 1.5 hour drive to most of the Finger Lakes, 1 hr drive to MacKenzie Childs in Aurora, NY.

I really enjoy traveling, gardening, and decorating my home. My husband Dave and I have 10 years of experience as landlords, and I worked in corporate relocation for Eastman Kodak. In August 2021 we decided to convert our upstairs apartment from a yearly rental to AirBNB. We're excited about sharing our unique property and apartment space with travelers coming to Fairport, a small village with a LOT to offer!
