The space
Our Studio, built in 2023, has been thoughtfully appointed with everything you’ll need to feel at home.
The Woodsy Studio is located in a tranquil setting with natural filtered light through surrounding trees, bird song, and beautiful forested views. The adjacent vacant land creates the feeling of being out in the country, rather than in the heart of Eugene. A large patio with table and chairs, water fountain and stream-side picnic table are all included for guest’s enjoyment. We have an optional hot tub ($75 cleaning fee per reservation) for deeper relaxation or those perfect foggy fall mornings.
The space is ideal for two guests sharing the organic Saatva Queen size bed. If separate sleeping arrangements are preferred, the pillow-top sofa bed is available upon request ($30 setup & linen fee, which is already included on reservations with 3 guests).
*PLEASE NOTE: The studio is located at the back of our property and requires descending 30+ outdoor landscape steps to access - there is no handrail, please see photo. They lit by motion sensor after dark.

We aim to provide you with all the amenities you'll need for excellent visit. If you need something you don't see, please ask, we may have it to share.
Sofa Bed Setup & Fee:
Our studio is ideal for 1-2 people, with a queen bed included in the base price. If you are a group of 3 people, please indicate that in your booking and we'll have the extra bed made up for you. For two guests who prefer separate beds, we're happy to set up the sofa bed for an additional fee ($30) to cover the time in setup and laundry. You will need to let us know in advance and we'll take care of it for you - the bedding is not kept in the studio due to lack of extra storage. (This fee applies automatically for groups of three in the booking process).
The Studio is a private guest suite, built as an independent unit, with no shared walls, no connecting doors, and its own separate entrance. We do live upstairs with our 2 labradoodles, so you may occasionally hear footsteps or muffled sounds, but we’re very mindful of our guests’ comfort.
Please note: The hot tub is optional and available for an additional $75 cleaning fee per stay. This helps ensure it is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for your use, and it includes fresh spa towels and two pair of slip-on shoes for your stay. Guests are welcome to let us know by text if they’d like to add the hot tub, either before arrival or after checking in. Hot tub hours are 7am–10pm. The hot tub is visible from the main house where we live; however, it is tucked into a private corner of the property and is not easily visible by neighboring property.

Guest access
The entire studio apartment, large outdoor patio, path to gathering space at stream-side with summer hammocks, and optional hot tub. Private stairway entrance to the studio has 30+ steps and no handrail.
Street parking in front of steps for 1 car only. Additional car must be parked at top of culdesac.
Please note: Guests may not have access to the private yard beyond the patio; it belongs to our neighbors.
Other things to note
My husband Erik and I live in the house above the guest studio. You may encounter us on the property taking care of the hot tub or grounds during your stay, however we will do our best to be invisible.
We have two small dogs. Both are loving Australian Labradoodles who want to be your very best friend. They won’t have access to the studio space or yard...however, they are sometimes crafty, and they could make a break for it! If that happens, please know they are very friendly, they will be excited to see you and they may jump up, and I will be in pursuit of them immediately! Dog treats are available above the microwave. 🐾
Please note:
We have yet to build the privacy screens around the hot tub, which is visible from the upper house. There is a mulch path to access the hot tub, please bring appropriate footwear. Hot tub hours are 8am until 10pm. Noise carries really well in the woods, please be mindful of your noise level. We cannot allow outdoor music to play, but we welcome playing your own instrument.
Motion activated lights lead down the steps (no guardrails) from the street level to the studio.
If you have booked the studio for longer than two weeks, there is a required and complimentary cleaning every two weeks for fresh sheets and towels, etc.
In order to preserve the peaceful environment, we can not allow parties, events, photo shoots, or any visitors beyond the registered guests, other than for a brief convenience and with our approval, please.
Parking is sometimes congested in our culdesac. We have a designated parking spot for 1 vehicle located to the left of the main house driveway. An additional vehicle may be parked at the top of the culdesac. Thank you.

Hi! I'm an Airbnb host and co-host who enjoys creating welcoming, comfortable spaces for friends and travelers. I manage my own property and also help others care for theirs, so I understand both the guest and host experience. I love exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and discovering great local restaurants and bookstores. I value clear communication, attention to detail, and treating every home with the same care and respect I'd hope for in return.
