Just steps away from the best Lucca shops, restaurants, art galleries and historical sites, this charming artist refuge offers a playful and welcoming stay in a family-friendly home ... right in the historical city center. The space
The apartment is on the third floor with no elevator in the historic center of Lucca. Nearby are numerous restaurants and on the block, there is a supermarket.
The closest public parking garage is Parcheggio Mazzini. The apartment does not include parking or driving access through the pedestrian zone. We recommend parking at a public lot and calling a taxi if you have a significant number of bags. Mazzini is 10 minutes walk approximately from the apartment.
Apartment self check-in instructions are given the day of arrival.
The apartment has a landing area where there is a sitting bench and space to deposit shoes. This is where you also find the washer and dryer.
Rooms available for guests are the sitting area, kitchen, two bedrooms, living room, two bathrooms.
The sitting area has a desk with guestbook to sign, bookshelf filled with books (and some table games), a chair, and an original Pierluigi Monchiero sculptural piece on the wall. The fireplace is not for guest use. The playpen is stored there. The mat provided for it is the one that comes with the playpen itself.
Kitchen has a dining table, four chairs, a high chair, stove, oven, refrigerator, kettle and Nespresso machine. In a side cubby, cleaning supplies, ironing board, and first aid kit are stored. In the kitchen drawers, there are bags for recycling and refuse. Next to the kitchen sink, there are bins to help with sorting. Trash should be taken out before check out.
If you have trouble finding the utensils, pull open the dish drawer immediately under the stove. There is a hidden drawer there that has numerous utensils, including those for babies.
The apartment has mini-split units, which are remote controlled for air-conditioning. One white remote can control all the units. Please do not leave the air conditioning on when you are not in the apartment. Air conditioning should go no lower than 72 degrees F/about 22 degrees C.
The living room has a sofa bed, tv, tv stand with some toys inside. The tv is connected to a streaming service.
The first bathroom comes with a potty seat for the youngest guests and stepping stool, provided products (which guests can use or not), towels, and laundry baskets to throw in used towels on departure.
Second bathroom has towels and provided products (soap, shampoo, and conditioner). No child potty seat.
First bedroom has a queen bed, small wardrobe, dresser. Does not have curtains but does have shutters, which will darken the room.
Second bedroom has two twin beds, long dresser, toy organizer and toys and nightlights. It has a beautiful street view. Does not have curtains but does have shutters.
One room is for storage and not available to guests.
Guest access

For wifi users: Vodafone - Internet up to the speed of 100 Unlimited Megabit/s and Giga on FTTC with a Wifi 6 Router.
There is one locked storage room not accessible to guests.
Other things to note
As per Lucca city requirements, all guests must submit passport information to be recorded at the local Questura.
Guests must pay a 2.50 euro per person for up to 3 days of a visit in cash on receiving the keys, which is paid to the city. (Imposta di soggiorno)
