Emlagh Beach Cottage, Rosadillisk, Cleggan, County Galway - relax and enjoy our comfy and cosy detached traditional stone cottage. We are located in an area of immense natural beauty along the Wild Atlantic Way approximately 3.6km from Cleggan village. Commanding spectacular views of Emlagh Beach and across Cleggan Bay towards Inishbofin this house is located in an idyllic location directly on the beach.

The space
Enjoy all the comforts of home but with breath-taking panoramic views from the sitting room. Upon entering the stone cottage, a large welcoming open plan living area plan kitchen & dining greets you on arrival. There is electric thermostat controlled heating for those wild Atlantic days and the cottage is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, fridge freezer and dining table. The living room is a light-filled areas with cosy sofas, TV (satellite) DVD player, music centre, books and games. Large family bathroom with power shower. The master bedroom located on the ground floor has a double bed. The second bedroom upstairs can be a double room or with an optional, two beds for kids if required to a max capacity of 8 guests. The third bedroom has two full sized single beds. Electric heating controlled by thermostat throughout. A seating area at the front of the house is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sounds of the ocean, or alternatively the sheltered suntrap and garden at the rear of the house can provide sheltered warmth to the sounds of the ocean. Plenty of parking space around the house.

The Cottage is one of a handful of houses in the Rosadillisk area, and located very close to Cleggan Pier from where the local ferries depart for Inishbofin. Emlagh beach located to the front of the house is generally very quiet, and with a 1.5km walk around the beautiful headland you can arrive at Selerna beach. Emlagh beach is one of the Discovery Points on the Wild Atlantic Way via Omey Island heading North towards Westport from Galway. For walkers there are walks of all grades in the local area and up the Diamond in the Connemara National Park, as well as exploring the coastal paths from the house. There is horse riding locally, fishing in the Bay and at the numerous lakes and rivers throughout Connemara. There are numerous golf courses in the county with the Connemara Championship Golf Links in Ballyconneelly and others in Westport, Castlebar, Mulranny and Ballinrobe as well as a par 3 course at Westport House. There are Adventure Centres at Killary and Delphi Mountain Resort. Cleggan has a well stocked supermarket, a pharmacy, post office, chipper and a selection of café’s pubs and restaurants and a selection of pubs. There is a local information office for trips to Inishbofin and other local activities.
