Located 30 minutes from downtown San Martín de los Andes and 40 minutes from downtown Esquí on an internal road in good condition. In the months of June, July, August and September, have a 4x4 vehicle and snow chains.

The space
Miralejos is a gated community that is 30 minutes from downtown San Martin de los Andes. Our house is located there. In the middle of the mountain, 1400 meters above sea level, in a native forest environment and incredible views of the valley, Lake Lacar, Lake Lolog and Lanín Volcano.
Twenty years ago, we lived in San Martin de los Andes and bought a small piece of the mountain. We built a shelter so that visits to the lot would last a little longer. There was no electricity, no gas, not even a road. There was, however, a firm determination to make nature livable, modifying it as little as possible.
Over time, the city, the neighborhood, and the family grew. Finally, the family home appeared and we moved.
The shelter also grew. Now it's a cabin with all the amenities. We host guests there all year round, but it's still our refuge when the big house is rented.
The place is ideal for those who want to live an authentic experience of living in the mountains, 100% nature, but with a lot of comfort.

It's important to note that the road has snow in winter. It is cleared frequently but a 4x4 vehicle, carrying chains and being willing to add adventures is also NECESSARY. Outside of winter, it can be accessed with any vehicle.

The cabin has two rooms. A living room/kitchen with an open mezzanine that has two beds.
Also a bedroom with a large bed and a TV with Chrome Cast. Outside there is a deck with a grill.
The place is simply warm, an almost handmade space. Possibly because of the history, we find it adorable. Ideal for adventure, and unparalleled for rest.

Guest access
Miralejos is a 300-hectare ranch in the mountains. It became a gated community where there are currently around 50 houses and a lot of common space.
The general setting is the lenga forest, with breathtaking views of the valley in which San Martín de los Andes is located.
From "El Refugio" you can take beautiful short hikes, or longer treks.
Staying here is a different experience than staying in the city center. If you like nature and the mountains, you will undoubtedly enjoy it!!!

Other things to note
Access is good, by gravel road. There is no public transportation, except taxis from San Martín de los Andes, so it is advisable to have a vehicle to facilitate independent mobility. In the months of June, July, August and September, have a 4x4 vehicle and snow chains.
