The space
The peaceful location of this cabin provides the perfect environment for diving into a good book or even writing one of your own. Listen to the sounds of nature while enjoying a cool summer night on the front porch. Unleash your inner chef and surprise your loved one with an effortless breakfast in bed. Later, fire up the BBQ grill and sizzle up some steaks as the afternoon sun slowly sets through the trees. Finally, relax your cares away in our new hot tub on the lower deck. **NEW 2025 Improved mountain views** we trimmed a large area of tree limbs for a better long range mountain view! It's not a big view, but it is pretty, best viewed from the upper deck. And there should even be a few peek-a-boo views year-round with the clearing that's been done.

PROVIDED ITEMS:
Clean linens - Two towels (body, hand, washcloth) per person will be left out for use. Also, separate plush towels for the hot tub.
Start-up supply of paper products, trash bags, soaps and basic cleaners, FULLY equipped kitchen for preparing and serving meals.
We suggest Guest(s) bring personal grooming items, grocery items, specialty items and any unique or important items vital to your vacation (such as firewood). We try to keep a supply of firewood on hand, but the availability of firewood is not guaranteed.
Guest access
The whole property! The cabin sits in the middle of one acre, with some vacant land nearby and a few cabins on nearby hillsides and one home in plain view. The driveway and firepit area feel very secluded though, you feel like you have the whole mountain to yourself!
Other things to note
***Be aware of the weather and your vehicle. During heavy rain, snow/ice, or after dark, it will be more difficult traveling to and from the cabin. A 4x4 or AWD vehicle is suggested as it is a two mile off road adventure to the cabin in dirt/gravel conditions and it can get quite bumpy in spots.
***Our Pet fee is $60 per pet (maximum 2 with prior approval) for your entire stay. Weight limit of 25lbs per dog (over 25lbs with prior approval). Once we accept your reservation, We will make the adjustment for the pet fee of $60 for you to approve on airbnb.com
NO pets allowed on furniture! Please note that there will be additional fees for excessive dog hair on furniture, beds, couches and/or damage to leather furniture. Please use the provided medium dog crate/kennel if you are leaving them at the cabin alone at any time to avoid “separation accidents”! If we have approved a larger dog, we ask that you bring your own larger crate/kennel for your pet. You will find that Ellijay & Blue Ridge are very pet friendly if you plan to take them into town or on a local hike!
We have a designated pet waste station next to the trash bin. Please be sure to pick up after your pet and place all bags in the pet waste trash bin. Please don't discard any loose items in the trash bin, please bag all trash, thank you!
***There are two security camera with audio located in the driveway area, one pointed away from the cabin and down the driveway to see approaching vehicles, and one on a tree above the trash bin to keep an eye on the cabin and the weather conditions. These are the only cameras on the property, per Georgia law. This is for the safety and security of our guests and the property.
***We have a Smart Thermostat installed. You have access to change the temperature to cool between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit, or heat between 55-70 degrees Fahrenheit. We provide plenty of warm blankets in the cabin if you need to stay warmer in the winter, the wood-burning fireplace will heat the cabin rather nicely. Since the fireplace does warm the house quite a bit, it is not to be used during the warm weather months between May-September or it may cause the AC to malfunction, thanks for your cooperation!
Be Bear Aware! You’re in bear country. Please help keep bears wild and people safe. Do not leave food or trash outside. Secure all garbage in bear-proof containers or store indoors. Do not feed wildlife, even unintentionally. Clean grills and outdoor cooking areas after each use. Store pet food, coolers, and scented items indoors or in a bear-resistant container. Keep your distance if you see a bear. Never approach or try to scare it away.
Remember: A fed bear is a dead bear.
