The space
Welcome to your Northstar mountain retreat—an extensively remodeled classic cabin with modern comfort, nestled in the highly sought-after Beaver Pond neighborhood. Located across from a scenic meadow with hiking trails, it’s just a short summer walk to the Northstar Village and Recreation Center, and only 5 miles from Lake Tahoe. In winter, only a 3 minute shuttle ride to the mountain all from the front door.

Inside, the home features 3 bedrooms plus a spacious loft with a queen-size bed, comfortably sleeping up to 8 guests. The updated kitchen offers granite slab countertops, a breakfast bar, and new appliances, all set on stylish new floors. Large windows bring in mountain light and peaceful forest views, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Unwind in the open living room with a cozy fireplace, smart TV, and WiFi—ideal for movie nights or quiet mornings. Step outside to a large sunny deck, perfect for summer gatherings, or simply enjoying the fresh alpine air.

Whether you're skiing, biking, hiking, or relaxing, this beautifully decorated and well-equipped home makes a perfect base for your family's Tahoe adventure

Guests have full access to the entire home, including the large deck, private driveway, and all interior amenities.

For a $10 daily fee per person, guests can enjoy the Northstar Recreation Center, just a short summer walk away, featuring:
Guest can access the incredible Norstar Rec Center in the Village.

Other things to note
It is about five minutes driving distance to downtown historic Truckee shops and restaurants which can also be reached by free Northstar shuttle service. 20-30 minutes to Sugarbowl, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows, and Diamond Peak. Send the kids skiing on the bus and join them later. Shuttle pick up just outside your door. Truly a destination resort.

Not to mention the infamous Lake Tahoe is only 5 miles away and is truly a world class destination.

There is a separate local taxes.
(1) There is a mandatory Transient Occupancy Tax to Placer County of 10% for all vacation homes in Truckee for stays less than 30 days.

You will be sent a separate request for money by us through Airbnb for the total local tax rate of 10% of the booking costs (the total cost including the nightly rate and cleaning fee) after the confirmation of booking just prior to your reservation. You will need to pay this fee before the date of your stay in order to gain the access code to the home unless other arrangements have been made. Sorry about the inconvenience but Aribnb does not collect TOT at time of booking.

Our home is on a quiet street on Northstar's shuttle bus service to Ski area and Village and also within easy walking distance in summer. The neighborhood is quaint and beautiful and with plenty of space between homes. You feel like you are on a retreat.
