"Duke's Lazy Haven" Cabin is close to Downtown Gatlinburg, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Dollywood, and Pigeon Forge! It is far enough off the beaten path to relax in peace; but at the same time, close enough to enjoy all the local tourism and downtown hot spots in Gatlinburg! The Cabin is perfect for couples and business travelers. It has a King Suite, Queen Suite with two camping nooks, a screened porch, a loft with a wet-bar, 2 full bathrooms, a fireplace and hot tub.

I'm proud to add this newly built Cabin to Lazy Haven Cabins!! This Cabin was completed in May of 2024!
This Cabin is named, "Duke's Lazy Haven." Features of this Cabin include:

Duke's Lazy Haven is a newly built, exceptionally maintained cabin for up to 4 adults. It is located in the highly desirable Sky Harbor Subdivision. The Cabin is far enough off of the beaten path to enjoy the peacefulness of the Great Smoky Mountains, but close enough to be at all the area attractions in just minutes. The first stop light into Gatlinburg is 10 minutes away. Monte's Lazy Haven is within 15-20 minutes of downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Splash Country, Dixie Stampede, and the legendary hiking trails of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Don't forget Ober Gatlinburg for winter skiing, ice skating, and snow tubing.
***2026---You must indicate the exact number of guests through Airbnb! Guests jeopardize my rental license by not disclosing the correct number of people occupying the Cabin. This is an ADULT ONLY Cabin. Children are NOT permitted. Only infants that cannot crawl or walk are permitted. I will have to file a complaint with Airbnb if you do not disclose the number of people in your party or if you bring a child. Please be kind and assist me in complying with my rental license!***

Enter the Cabin into the open concept living room with stone fireplace. The living room has a seasonal fireplace with a comfortable couch and chair. A 50" SmartTV which provides the option to login to your favorite streaming apps or enjoy complimentary YouTubeTV for live programing.
This cabin features a first floor Primary Suite with a King bed and 50" SmartTV. A full bathroom is in the Primary Suite with a separate standup shower and single person jacuzzi tub. Enjoy a wooded view while relaxing in the jacuzzi tub.
Duke's Lazy Haven has a loft which is a second living room. It includes a couch, 50" SmartTV and full wet-bar with small refrigerator. The loft has its own balcony with seating for two high above the mountain ground.
A Guest Suite is located on the 2nd floor off the loft.
It includes a Queen Bed, 42" Smart TV, and two sleeping nooks with camping mattresses. A full bathroom is in the Guest Suite. It includes double sinks, a separate standup shower, and single person jacuzzi tub.
The kitchen fully equipped to prepare home cooked meals. The kitchen island provides for an eating area at the kitchen island. There is plenty of space for outdoor dining in the screened in porch. A 50" SmartTV is provided in the screen in porch area.
The back deck includes a brand new hot tub and a charcoal Weber grill for grilling your favorite BBQ meats. There are also two log rockers to relax and take in the scenic wooded views of the Smoky Mountain Region.
There is a small washer and dryer for small loads of laundry.
Duke’s Lazy Haven provides Wi-Fi free of charge for your enjoyment! Feel free to watch as much Netflix on your devices as you'd like!! All televisions provide complimentary YouTubeTV for live programming.
There is a Keurig and regular coffee maker at the cabin. I make every effort to supply basic K-cups and coffee grounds. Feel free to bring your own favorite coffee.

YOU AGREE TO AND/OR ACKNOWLEDGE THE FOLLOWING IF BOOKING THIS CABIN:
Pets/Animals: I do NOT permit pets or animals of any kind for any reason. I have medical conditions that prevent me from having any animals in the Cabin.
Strict Occupancy Limit & No Children: Only 4 adults are permitted at the Cabin and the exact number of guests MUST be indicated through the Airbnb reservation. Not disclosing the accurate number of guests and/or bringing children is grounds for immediate eviction without refund. Your Cabin access will be terminated immediately. Only infants that cannot crawl or walk are permitted at the Cabin.
Hot Tub Cleaning: The Hot Tub is drained and refilled after each guest. Therefore, depending on when the hot tub was filled, it might be cool upon your arrival. The hot tub does take several hours to reach max temperature. This should be kept in mind if booking for only one night. Keeping the lid on will heat the hot tub faster. Any body of water has a potential for drowning. It is slippery in and around the hot tub. Use at your own risk. Children are not allowed in the hot tub.
Heating & AC: The Cabin has a residential system in it like any other home. It is not a commercial system. I ask the AC be set no lower than 68 degrees and the heat no higher than 74. Additionally, the AC cannot be run before, during, or after fireplace use. If you like it cooler, warmer, or like to run the AC with the fireplace, I kindly request you choose another Cabin.
Fireplace: For obvious reasons, the fireplace is non-operational during warm weather months. The fireplace is operational October 15th through February 28th. Again, the AC cannot be run before, during, or after fireplace use.
Cell Service: My Verizon cell service works "ok" for calling or texting. Data usage is not the best but the Cabin Wifi works great.
Mountain Roads: This Cabin is on a mountain in the Sky Harbor subdivision. It is easily accessed via asphalt roads. There are sharp turns and steep grades, which might be a shock to some. Please take your time driving. Some roads require you to pull over so another car can safely pass. Don't panic, our fully loaded Honda Odyssey mini-van and Honda CRV get to the cabin with no problems under dry and rainy conditions.
With that being said, in the event of snow, going up or down the mountain is not recommended. This area averages 10 inches of snow per year.
No Smoking: There is no smoking or vaping of any kind permitted in the Cabin!!
Grill Charcoal: Unfortunately, I do not guarantee a supply of charcoal. Please plan accordingly.
Cleaning Supplies: There is a starter supply of dishwashing soap, garbage bags, and paper towels. You will need to supply your own after the starter supply runs out. Laundry detergent is not supplied.
Yard Maintenance: This Cabin does require routine yard maintenance throughout the spring, summer, and fall. This service is monthly. Due to weather conditions, the yard crew is not able to provide notice prior to arrival. However, they work during regular business hours and never arrive too early in the morning. The crew does not have access to the inside of the Cabin. If this is a concern, please let me know.
Check in Time: 4:00 PM (sometimes my housekeeper will have the Cabin ready sooner but there is no guarantee).
Check Out Time: 10:00 AM. The housekeeper arrives shortly after 10:00 A.M..
Pest Control: The cabin is treated regularly for insects, mice, & scorpions. However, you are on a mountain and at times they may make their way inside the cabin. Keep all doors and windows closed at all times to prevent unwanted guests.
**If you are making a reservation on or around October 15th; you are agreeing to permit a service technician to enter the Cabin to start fireplace service for the season. I try to do this in between guests but the schedule sometimes does not work out.
Guest access
Having a vehicle is a necessity. However, Uber has limited availability in the area. You will have access to all living spaces of the Cabin.
Other things to note
I have a strict no refund policy. As in any home, sometimes things break. There will be no refunds for any reason to include power outages, internet outages, malfunctioning TV's, fireplace, hot tub, appliances, etc.. If you encounter any problems, please contact me right away. I will attempt to rectify the issue as soon as is reasonable based on availability of the required technician.
Refunds will not be given for cancellations; no matter the reason.
