The space
Desert Dream Cottage is a lovingly kept 1947 bungalow full of character — gleaming hardwood floors, sunny bay windows, and bright, welcoming rooms. The living room has comfortable seating and a smart TV, and the full kitchen is stocked for home-cooked meals and opens to a cozy dining nook. You'll find two comfortable bedrooms, a full bathroom, and an in-home washer and dryer. Air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout keep things cool on warm Central Oregon days.

You're just a short walk from historic downtown Prineville — the oldest city in Central Oregon — with its local restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, frozen yogurt and more!. The cottage makes an ideal home base for exploring the region: it's about 30 minutes to Redmond and Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM), roughly 30 minutes to world-famous Smith Rock State Park (a mecca for rock climbing and hiking), and about 40 minutes to Bend. Outdoor lovers will find the Ochoco Mountains and National Forest right out the back door, with Ochoco Reservoir (~15 min) and Prineville Reservoir State Park (~20 min) offering boating, fishing, paddle boarding, and some of the darkest, most star-filled skies in the state — Prineville Reservoir is Oregon's first International Dark Sky Park. For a memorable day trip, the striking Painted Hills are about an hour away. Whether you come to climb, fish, hike, stargaze, or simply relax, Desert Dream Cottage puts it all within easy reach.

Guest access
You'll have the entire home to yourself, plus the large, fully fenced front and back yards — perfect for relaxing, letting the kids play, or unwinding on the covered patio in the evening. Off-street parking is available in the driveway, with additional free parking on the street or alleyway. Sheds are not for guest use/access.

As a historic 1947 home, it has loads of charm along with a few gentle vintage quirks — please treat it like your own.
