Sun-drenched all day, the Domaine du Bost offers a splendid view of the Dordogne Valley and an ideal location for nature lovers and nearby tourist activities.
In the heart of the Valley of the Châteaux, the house is a 5-minute drive from the village of Castelnaud, its iconic castle, riverbanks, perfect for swimming, and canoe base.
Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Domme, Sarlat… and their treasures are just a few kilometers away.
The space
On the heights of Castelnaud La Chapelle, a typical village of the Périgord Noir, is the Domaine du Bost: a large main house and an adjoining caretaker's house are at your disposal throughout your stay.
These are bordered by large green spaces (fenced for the main house), including a large terrace overlooking the living room and kitchen of the large house, where you can enjoy lunches and dinners with family and friends; a 19 m long swimming pool that will delight young and old during hot summer afternoons.
You will also be close to various walks and hikes that will delight sports enthusiasts and nature lovers.
The houses are a mixture of authenticity typical of our beautiful region and modernity to ensure comfort and well-being throughout your stay.
The ground floor consists of a large and beautiful living room: very bright dining/living room with exposed beams and a large stone fireplace.
This large room leads to the master suite; this is composed of a large bright room with a king size bed and direct access to a part of the garden, located at the back of the house. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a separate shower, bathtub and separate toilet.
The living room then leads to the kitchen, with its typical Périgord rammed earth floor. It is fully equipped, always combining authenticity and modernity, and opens onto the main terrace and the entrance room of the house.
The latter allows access to the upper floor and the summer lounge.
This one is huge, all in stone and exposed frame and serves the Cuvier room. Full of charm, with its ceiling height and rammed earth floor, it is composed of a large queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and separate toilet.
This last bedroom on the ground floor has direct access to the main courtyard and is very bright.
Finally, on the first floor, under a superb exposed frame, you will find a television area as well as two large "dormitory" bedrooms.
Each room is equipped with 4 beds of 90 x 200 and can be converted, according to your wishes, into queen size double beds. These have their own individual bathroom, equipped with a large walk-in shower.
In front of the master house, across the terrace, is the new part of the Domain: the bread oven house.
Formerly the pool house, this new independent space offers privacy and comfort.
On the ground floor, there is a living room as well as a small equipped kitchen and a shower room with amenities. Upstairs, a beautiful double bedroom, bright and warm, welcomes travelers wishing to bask.
Finally, the cottage adjoining the main house is a small home perfectly designed to ensure comfort and privacy.
It consists of a living room with a fully equipped kitchen, overlooking the beautiful forest bordering the estate, a separate bedroom with its ensuite bathroom and large walk-in shower.
