A spacious, cozy, elegant and naturally well-lit bedsitter with own bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen and own entrance. It is in the guest wing first floor of a family house in Highlands, a peaceful leafy suburb in Harare. The Doehan Bedsitter is the ideal home away from home to retreat from city activity, make home-cooked meals, watch free Netflix or even do home office with the best wifi in Zimbabwe.

The space
Our house has an electric gate which opens to a neat garden with flowers, and parking space. The guest wing is on the first floor, meaning you have to take the stairs, and has its own entrance which separates it from the rest of the house. There is a large comfortable bed and couch to relax on, a TV for entertainment (comes with free Netflix), free wifi, (hot) water, power backup, and tables to work or dine from. The kitchen has sufficient equipment to prepare your meals, and there’s a bathroom fully equipped with a toilet, shower and windows.

Guest access
Guests have access to the guest wing not the whole house, but are welcome to relax in the front yard by the garden until 18:00.

Please note we cannot give guests a remote control for the main gate so to enter the premises use of the intercom or a simple text message to the hosts is required. Don’t worry it’s totally okay for guests to come and go as they please, there is no curfew, we are a phone call or text away :)

Smoking outside is allowed but not indoors.

Other things to note
NOTICE⚠️ as of January 2026 construction work at the main house is almost done but guests should still expect some level of noise here and there during working hours.

Please note that there are resident dogs who are members of the host family and provide added security to the place. They are not vicious, don’t worry. However, guests may not leave their belongings unattended outside as the dogs may damage them.
