A studio apartment on the first floor of our villa across Ganga near AIIMS, Rishikesh. Ideal for four but can accommodate up to six persons on two extra camp cots. The access to our village is regulated by the forest dept. An optional tent, inflatable pool, a hammock, a swing and a monocular for viewing the jungle life/ birding are available to enhance your experience. A crib and high chair for infants is available. Wifi and washing machine are available. Indoor and outdoor pools available.

The space
Availability of bountiful of nature.
Common sighting of the fauna of the forest such as the peacocks, birds of different species, deer, and rare sighting of elephants. Rarest of the rare could be a leopard if one is lucky.
The guests can also savour pure vegetarian food available piping hot from the earthen hearth ( Chulha) from locally available "Hema's Rasoi" on pre-order with prior notice.

Guest access
An open air splash-pool and a small indoor pool with fresh ground water from a submersible pump. A makeshift shower tent can be provided for privacy to those who wish to experience the torrent of fresh water to take a uniquely refreshing experience along.

During your stay
The hosts occupy the ground floor. They are globally travelled. The guests can interact with the hosts personally to take tips about sites to be visited not only in Rishikesh but also in India and other countries that we have visited. They can exchange their travel experiences and future expectations. Contacting through Whatsapp and phone calls / sms is permissible.

Other things to note
1. This is a naturally peaceful place. Consumption of alcohol or any psychoactive substance is strictly prohibited. Any guest in an inebriated state would be immediately requested to vacate the premises. Strictly no loud music. Organising any parties is prohibited. The law enforcement agency would be informed if deemed necessary.
2. The earliest check in is flexible only if there is no guests occupying on the preceding day. They will check out at 1200 h and we need 3 hours to clean and set-up the place. In exceptional cases of an early arrival we may give you a place to wait till 3 pm on the ground floor but you may have to bear with the daily household activities or the presence of our personal guests.
3. Negotiating Rishikesh traffic in a car may be very time consuming. We can facilitate a two wheeler on rental for local commuting with ease. Please keep your driving license or international driving permit handy for the traffic police.
4. Power outages may occur. The effect is minimised because the studio is connected to a hybrid Solar electricity system with power back up. In case of clouding or at night combined with Grid supply failure, the fans would still run and lighting would be available. Grid supply restoration may take place promptly or get delayed depending on the weather and the type of breakdown.Fortunately, the heat is not so severe and nights are pleasant. An alternative arrangement to sleep in an airy tent would be made in case the power supply does not get restored for a long time.
5. Tent, pool, trampoline, baby cot and pool are not included in the rent.
6. Access to the village is regulated by the forest department. Guests are requested to adhere to the timings. We need to co-ordinate with the forest staff to facilitate entry past the specified time.
