Set amongst the rolling hills of Mid-Wales. A beautiful and spacious bell tent with a king size bed, a comfy sofa bed and a log burner. On a decking in between a kitchen hut with a front porch and a bathroom hut (compost toilet/shower) next to a wood fired hot tub. A secluded spot in your own field.

We are in the heart of Welsh farming land surrounded by farms so please do expect to hear working dogs, cow hearding or even a spot of late night combine harvesting in the area.

The space
The tent is in it's own private field with lovely views. Although it is private and you will have it all to yourselves, there were already some residents before we pitched up so you will have to share with the rabbits and hares and many lovely birds including red kites gliding in the sky above. It is fully furnished and we are sure you will be comfortable. The kitchen has all the essentials and there is an underground storage box/cooler for your fresh food to be stored in. Thick fluffy towels and towelling robes included. Although we are set up for couples/two guests there is a sofa bed in the tent so if you are a small family/friends you can book to add an additional person to your booking, we will provide bedding and towels for them. There is a wood store that will be fully stocked for your stay.

There are sheep in the neighbouring fields so please only book to bring a four legged friend with you If they are well behaved/trained. A bed, blanket, towels, bowls and a ball will be provided. Different linen is used and a deep clean is required so please do not bring a pet without booking, if you do we will submit the extra charge during your stay plus extra for cleaning of non dog friendly laundry! We are sad to write such strict and grumpy sounding rules but unfortunately we have been ignored and had a lot of mess and damage to deal with!

Guest access
There is private parking in the field below. It is a short walk up to the tent from here.

The quaint market town of Builth Wells is just 7 miles away, it has plenty of pubs, cafe's, independent shops and a co-op. If you visit be sure to take a walk along the River Wye which runs through the picturesque town. Builth also has a leisure centre, 18 hole golf course, a cinema and an arts centre!

On your way to Builth you will drive through the village of Cilmery, if you're interested you can stop by a monument that marks the spot where the Welsh hero Llywelyn the Last was ambushed and killed in 1282! If that's not your thing then you could stop at the pub, aptly named The Prince Llewelyn!

During your stay we recommend a short but very sweet trip up to the viewpoint on the Eppynt, this is just two miles away and the views are truly breathtaking from up there! If you take binoculars you might even be able to spot the tent!

Garth bank is just down the lane from the field, it's well worth a walk around to enjoy the unspoilt nature and again some pretty spectacular views! There are picnic benches at the bottom and a bench half way around, perfect for lunch/snacks/a pit stop!

If you fancy a trip out for the day a little further a field The Elan Valley (has own website) is a 40 minute drive away.
The coastal town of Aberystwyth is just over an hour away.

It's just over a 30 minute drive to 'Water Break Its Neck' “ a beautiful waterfall trail.

Pen-y-fan is approx 1 hour away, If you head that way we suggest you stop off in Brecon and treat yourself to an ice-cream from the popular Llanfaes dairy, the choice won't be easy though as you will have over 40 flavours to choose from!

Other things to note
We have enjoyed many weekends away glamping so we decided we should give it ago ourselves! We have been busy working on our glamp for a while now and we are so excited to finally welcome our first guest's. We can welcome you to the field and show you to the tent, then leave you in peace to enjoy your stay! Or you are welcome to check yourselves in. We think we have thought of all the bits and bobs that you will need to have a luxury camping experience but if you need anything during your stay you can give us a call. We hope to welcome you soon!

There are a couple of weeks during the summer when hay making takes place in the fields around the tent as we are a working horse stud farm. It's usually for a few hours a day, you may be one of the lucky ones and get to see some of the process, it's quite impressive! We never know quite when it will happen because of the weather but it's usually in August and won't cause you much disruption at all.
