Perfect getaway cottage on Tomales Bay! Full kitchen, private backyard, beautiful sunsets. One of 6 tiny cottages off of Shoreline Hwy (on the water side). Oysters are minutes away at Nick’s, Tony’s, or Hog Island. Absolutely gorgeous area, only 1/2 hr from Petaluma, but definitely dropped out! Perfect for a romantic weekend. Close to Blue Water Kayak rental, Pt Reyes National Seashore and lighthouse, Marconi Center Clean, cozy, and adorable!

The space
Bring your kayak and launch it from our beach access or rent one close by (Kayak at your own risk)! Enjoy coffee and breakfast in our own private back yard. Watch the wildlife from the beach! Choose one of the fabulous restaurants minutes away for BBQ oysters, steaks or seafood. Take a day trip to Pt Reyes Lighthouse and National Seashore, hike, or window shop in the charming town of Pt Reyes 15 min away. Close to Dillon Beach. On the rustic side (no dishwasher), cozy, clean and comfortable. So peaceful! Fresh air!! Great for couples, or a small family. Water is close by so swim at your own risk, and watch the little ones (children) at all times. Gorgeous area. Perfect getaway!

You have the entire cabin and private backyard to yourself, but please respect our neighbors that are close by. The brown house next to the cabin is used by our neighbor as a boat utilities shop and storage. He sometimes will be building things there. The backyard is usually quiet and peaceful, but on the rare occasion he will be making noise next door.
Unfortunately, no access to the piers. They are the properties of neighbors. You can launch and keep your own kayak or any you rent from the semi-private beach and keep in the cabin's private backyard. The water is very close, just steps away from the front door. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the beach. Quiet & tranquil neighborhood.

Other things to note
❀Rent a kayak at Blue Water in Point Reyes (Kayak at your own risk)
❀We have good WIFI and movie streaming. No cable TV
❀Cell phone range is spotty at best in the entire coastal area but you can use the Wifi, or call anywhere in the USA on the house phone
❀The water is ok for washing and cooking but it is natural spring water that hasn't been tested so bring bottled drinking water.
❀We have off-road parking for two cars directly in front of the cabin. Please park between the white lines (however your cars fit). If you have more than two cars, they must be parked on the water side of Shoreline Highway (CA Hwy 1).
❀We accept pets for a pet fee of $150 per pet per stay.

Neighborhood highlights

Spectacular views! Fresh air is rejuvenating. Location is fantastic for many nearby attractions. This little cottage is so cute, it is part of what used to be a fishing village. We have close neighbors that live full time there. It is a quiet and tranquil waterfront neighborhood that is definitely dropped out but not that far away. Minutes from world-class restaurants, and Kayak rentals (or bring your own) we have shared beach access. 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and private backyard. Absolutely gorgeous area!

Hi! We really take pride in our home and enjoy making our guests feel welcome and comfortable. Having my daughter as my co-host enables us to realize having a family business and we make a great team! Cottage by the Bay in Marshall is on the shore of Tomales Bay. It is a cozy little slice of paradise offering tranquility, gorgeous views, fresh air, and lots to do nearby especially if you like nature and/or oysters! We always leave this cute little cottage feeling at peace and refreshed. When not working on my Air BnB, you'll find me working as a Montessori Preschool teacher. I love to travel, dance and hike. Hablo Espanol. My daughter, Lisa, works in the public schools with Special Ed kids, a true gift. She is also a talented artist. We appreciate good communication from our guests, please contact us right away if you have any concerns or feedback and we will do our best to solve anything that may come up. You have the cottage and private back yard to yourself and we respect your privacy, but are available by email or text for any questions or concerns. We have great neighbors that help us watch out for any unforeseen problems. We appreciate that our guests take good care of our homes.
