Experience some of the wold's best sunsets on our farm, just a few miles off of I-90. Hop on the interstate with quick access to the Corn Palace in Mitchell or Al's Oasis in Chamberlain. We're only 4 hours from Mount Rushmore, so it's a perfect stopping point to relax for a day (or several) before your final push to this beauty. If you're coming to experience the area's famous hunting, look no further. We're located right in the heart of pheasant country. We look forward to hosting you!
The space
Our lodge is perfect for families and larger groups (small groups are welcome as well)! With 7 bedrooms (3 upstairs and 4 downstairs) our home allows space and privacy for everyone. Keep in mind, this is a split foyer house so there is one flight of stairs going up to the kitchen and main floor and one flight going down to the basement. Each floor has a bathroom with a full washer and dryer (with detergent) for your use in the basement bathroom. We are able to comfortably accommodate large groups and keep them entertained with free wifi and a big-screen smart TV on each level. Keep in mind, these living rooms aren't setting Guinness Book records for their size, but we do have a lot of portable seating so everyone will be comfortable. We also have 2 full size refrigerators plus a smaller one for beverages. Please note: the house is on well water, which is safe to drink, but it has a naturally salty taste—most locals actually prefer it, but we recommend bringing bottled water if you're not. You'll feel right at home in the fully-equipped kitchen (we even have a kitchen aid mixer for your use). We kindly ask guests to respect our pet policy. Pets are not permitted in the main areas of the house. For any pets that enter the main house, a minimum cleaning fee of up to $500 will apply. However, pets are welcome in our spacious, heated front porch, provided they are kept in a kennel. This home has provided a lot of memories for our family, friends and hunters over the years. If you require only the most modern furnishings and appliances this may not be the place for you, but it's comfortable, clean and updated and we guarantee you and yours will love your very private and peaceful stay on our farm.
Guest access
We have a few locked storage locations and outside shed that are not accessible. Otherwise, the place is completely yours!
Other things to note
Thank you for choosing to stay with us! We kindly ask that guests respect our pet policy: pets are not permitted in the main areas of the house. If pets do enter the main house, a minimum cleaning fee of $500 will apply in addition to cleaning. However, we’re happy to accommodate pets on our spacious, heated front porch, as long as they are kept in a kennel. This policy is strictly enforced without exception. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all guests.
Please also note that we have exterior cameras on the property—one at the front and one at the back of the house. These cameras are solely for safety, providing added security for our guests and property. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you enjoy your stay!

My name is Karen. I'm in my early forties and, probably like you, I love to travel. For more than 20 years, I've been traveling the world both personally and professionally. Although much of my travels have been alone, in the past several years my husband, Garret, has been joining and it's been so exciting to share my passion with him. During our travels we do our best to stay "healthy" while enjoying the local cuisine and night life. We love great food, unique experiences and amazing views but also look forward to a cozy night on the couch with Netflix. We hope you feel at home in our property and look forward to hosting you again. If there is anything else we can do to provide you with an "out of this world" experience, please let us know! We want you to enjoy our place as much as we do with other hosts during our travels!
