Mountain view

Buena Vista Cottage is close to everything, just a block off of Main Street. When you are not working remotely from the well equipped dedicated office it is just a short walk to everything from the river park to restaurants to live music venues.

This is *not* a short term rental. It is intended as a medium term rental (ideally >90 days, 31 day minimum) for traveling professionals such as contract nurses or remote workers who want to join this wonderful mountain community for an extended period.

The space
Buena Vista Cottage has a wonderful and interesting history. It is a 'Katrina Cottage' (you can look it up on Wikipedia) - and in 2006 the design received the first annual People's Design Award from the Cooper-Hewitt Museum of the Smithsonian Institution.

This specific unit was deployed in Mississippi in 2007 to help with Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts, but after many years found it's way to Buena Vista where it now makes up part of a colorful street of similar homes just off of Main Street.

The building has had significant worlk done in recent years - hardly any element has not been refurbished, remodelled or rebuilt.

The bedroom has two small nightstands on either side of a new king-sized bed. There is also a tall dresser in the bedroom. The closet contains an ironing board as well as a pair of collapsible hotel-style luggage stands and an extra large and extra thick yoga mat.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including a small dishwasher, with full sets of pots and pans, plates and cutlery, blender, toaster and coffee machines (both K-cup and drip coffee) and other small appliances.

The house has a full-sized washer and dryer.

The side yard offers a patio space with a table and seating for four as well as a new stainless steel four-burner gas grill.

The office has a 60" x 28" electrically driven adjustable sit/stand desk and a Steelcase Leap 2 professional office chair. On the desk is a 38" widescreen monitor with integral USB-C docking, HD webcam and speaker as well as specialized lighting for video calls and keyboard and mouse (both wired). There is a retractable greenscreen on the wall opposite the desk, as well as a secondary tripod/ring light/phone holder for video calls. There is a black/white Brother laser printer and a stand to hold your phone for document scanning. Internet is provided both via WiFi (all over the house) and also via Ethernet in the office.

The living room sofa faces a wall mounted 32" Roku TV.

There is street parking at the front which is first come first served but there are also two dedicated parking spots for the unit at the rear, accessed via the alley.
