The space
Cosy Self catering pod with decking area and separate path. No EV charging facilities. Our own bespoke self-catering pod 6 x 3 metre. In the space is a small double bed. Max 2 guests. Not suitable for children. Toilet with sink, larger electric shower. The kitchen area has a sink and prep area. 2 hob hotplate. Dishwasher and Microwave . Fridge Feezer. WIFI . Freesat
SMART HDTV with NETFLIX / PRIME & other apps, use your own sign in. Kettle and toaster. It is very well equipped for size. Also a electric panel heater, please don't cover ventilation panels on fire/ heater. Outdoor table with chairs.
(Hot tub available now at additional cost, payable on arrival, minimum 2 night stay Hot tub Open from 7:30am until 11:00pm as other guests in. The hot tub is only for Pod 1 not shared. Confirmation needed if you want to use it.
Please be respectful to any guests in other pod. It will be emptied and cleaned and sanitised after each booking. So we need time to do this. It needs to be refilled and heated and chemicals balanced.)
Midges (west coast)
Unfortunately in this part of the west coast of Scotland, we get the seasonal Midges, which is out of our control. We provide midgie repellent for your use. In the pods we have put Fans, 1 if your too warm and 1 for using to face towards the doors to keep the Midges out, if you have the doors or window open.

Other things to note
Outdoor lights for parking and footpath. Pergola with hot tub. Open from 7:30 am until 11:00 pm, if the other pod is Vacant you can be in the hot tub as long as you want. Please be considerate to other pod guests. We supply house coats and extra towels for your stay. We will show you how to work the hot tub if you are not familiar with them. We supply plastic glasses for use in the hot tub. No glass to be in the hot tub. The clothes line behind the pod can be used to hang damp towels or house coats.
FYI the Scottish Highlands get Midges this is out with our control. We have fitted Midge screens on entry to the pods, please keep them closed if the Midges are out

Neighborhood highlights

Quite area, just on the outskirts of the Balmacara Square, less than a 1/2 a mile off the A87 and 5 miles away from Skye. Lots of nice walks for all cababilities. Lots of Hill walks, wild swimming, and paddle boarders. Mountain biking. I would recommend having transport. New mobile phone mast has been activated for 02, EE, and Vodafone.
Spar shop and Balmacara 1/2 a mile away hotel, 15 min walk or 3 min drive. Kyle of Lochalsh 3 miles, 6 min drive has a co-op supermarket, takeaways, chemist, cafes, Deli, butchers.
Plockton 5 miles and 15 min drive, lovely village with hotel's, cafe, take away and a nice coral beech up towards airstrip.

I am originally from Ayrshire but moved to Balmacara. Stared hosting with Airbnb June 2019 but been a member since 2015. Complimentary welcome pack of breakfast cereals/milk/bread in the freezer and snacks are provided to get you started. If you require anything just ask Welcome to our bespoke Cosy Toes pods. Our aim is to give our guests the best amenities we can. We enjoy having guests to stay. We have dogs and love spending our time walking them.
