Explore Red River Gorge
Picture this: peaceful nights under a blanket of twinkling stars, a sight rarely seen in Cincinnati. Our locals often venture up the hill with a blanket to the lookout point for hours of star-gazing in the gateway to Red River Gorge.
As the night unfolds, delight in roasting marshmallows, crafting s’mores, and sharing tales around the crackling fire pit, nestled on historical stones meticulously crafted during the Great Depression. These stones, harvested by hardworking craftsmen under the WPA program, were once used in the construction of bridges and roads. Bernard and Lisa carefully curate these stones, salvaging them from road-building projects to preserve and repurpose in endeavors like this one. Sit upon these stones and feel the essence of the laborers who toiled to build a legacy that now enriches your experience.
Embark on a leisurely stroll along the creek, where you can witness the enchanting dance of "lightning bugs" after dusk (known as "Fireflies" to city dwellers).
For a peaceful retreat, ascend to the cozy reading nook tucked away upstairs—a perfect sanctuary for relaxation, reading, and unwinding, much like a cozy cocoon
We are delighted to share these moments with you and hope your stay is filled with unforgettable experiences and cherished memories. Welcome to your home away from home!
