The Cottage is perfectly located! Only 3.8mi center of Asheville, 2.5mi to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, 4mi to Biltmore Estate, and 5mi to the River Arts District! Escape it all or go to town for dinner, before retreating back home to your oasis! I have kept a simple clutter-free layout to promote comfort and coziness, with a touch of local art, filled with natural light and the sounds of local birds. The cottage is for anyone seeking privacy, nature, and easy access to all that Asheville has to offer!
The space
This Garden Cottage is your own separate, stand alone, 400 square foot, charming cozy cottage. The Cottage has its own private driveway access. Nestled off of a side street great for easy walks, The Cottage is surrounded by plenty of trees, curated greenery and seasonal flowers, song birds, and fresh mountain air. Take in some sun on the deck, or sing along with the birds while reading a book and enjoying that cup of tea you have been promising yourself! You deserve it, friend! If you're looking for a local history book that will suck you in and fascinate you, I recommend snagging a copy of The Last Castle, by Denise Kiernan! You'll immediately feel a connection to the area as you learn about it's rich history from the perspective of families who helped to shape Asheville into the place it is today.

The Cottage has been refurbished to offer a minimalist yet cozy landing space for you. It includes a completely remodeled squeaky clean bathroom. The cottage is cleaned with non toxic, fresh, cleaning supplies to offer you a retreat from the daily exposures we all face. *Although we strive for clean products, we do not guarantee that they are completely allergy safe.* It has its own dedicated high speed Wi-Fi and a Samsung Smart TV, with Netflix and streaming capabilities. I have also included a DVD player from years gone by. Enjoy one of my DVD's or bring your own!
The cottage offers a kitchenette for light cooking, with a Cuisinart Stainless Steel CB-60 Cast-Iron Double Burner, standard size fridge and sink, and essential kitchen items (please ask if there is something you will need, I will do my best to accomodate). Heating and Air Conditioning are comfortably provided by a very efficient Mitsubishi MiniSplit. The cottage has 5 sliding glass windows with screens and each window has cellular blinds.
The deck offers two chairs and a small tea table for your breakfast time, or evening cheese plates with wine. Please, please, please sit aside some time to enjoy the deck and it's surroundings. You wont regret the reset and comfort it has to offer!
Guest access
You will have private access to the entire cottage which has its own private bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom, entrance, and driveway. The cottage is one of the few Short Term Rental stand alone homes available in the city of Asheville, and has a legal Short Term Rental permit issued by the City of Asheville.
Other things to note
* You will have a smart TV and a dedicated high speed 300 mbps WiFi line. TV does have streaming capabilities but no local channels or cable. You can get local news and information on your device at the following websites: WLOS ( Main channel for the mountains) , WYFF and WSPA
*We do not not allow pets due to having allergies in our family.
*Please respect our Cottage as if it were your own. It is our desire to provide a peaceful, well kept, landing space for all of our guests. Your assistance in keeping The Cottage in good order is very much appreciated!
*While we make every effort to keep bugs outside where we are thankful for them to be, occasionally they may find their way inside. We ask that guests keep all food and drinks cleaned up and put away to help us with our efforts. Bugs are a part of life, they serve a great purpose, and in a wooded area like ours, they are prevalent. Keeping doors closed and your space clean will help keep them where they belong. Refunds are not given for bugs that may find their way inside.
