Our mountain cabin is the perfect family retreat! Each room has the space and amenities you need for dining, recreation, and relaxation. From the fully-equipped kitchen, to the pool/ping pong table, to the large sofa in front of the expansive fireplace, we're confident you'll have all comforts you need to enjoy your stay. The backyard provides 1.5 acres of space to roam with a large grassy area, a stone patio, and a wrap-around deck. In the winter there is snow play and sledding in the area.
The space
Nestled in Tahoe National Forest, this cabin sits on nearly an acre and a half and is engulfed by a beautiful pine forest. From an old gift shop to an outdoor stone fireplace, historic ruins abound on the property from the old Cisco Grove settlement, which abutted old Highway 40. We are located minutes from 4 ski resorts including Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Donner Ski Ranch and Soda Springs. We are also surrounded by numerous lakes and hiking trails, off-roading, cycling and are a mere walk across the street from the Yuba River.
Inside you'll have all the space you need to make for an enjoyable experience. On the first floor there is a cathedral-like great room and an open dinning/kitchen/living space accompanied by a full bath. On the second floor there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each bedrooms is equipped with its only sink and vanity. The rooms offer various sleeping accommodations such as king and queen beds, a bunk bed and a roll-away bed for the kids. In addition, one room has private access to the parking area via an outdoor staircase (less accessible in the winter).
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and property with the exception of the detached garage. There is ample parking on the gravel driveway just outside of the cabin.
Owner may be present in an adjacent property and would be available for questions or concerns.
