This is a unique opportunity to live in the mountains of rural Spain in a luxurious historic Circus Wagon, restored from its 19th Century original, with all modern comforts.
The Wagon is situated on a hillside in a beautiful isolated spot with stunning mountain views.
A guaranteed unique and charming experience with an abundance of humour, warmth and tranquillity.
The space
Drawing from our experience of quirky accommodations from across the globe we have created a space which we know will enchant and amuse the most experienced travellers.
The Wagon is situated on an open hillside snuggled in the olive trees within 5 acres of enclosed fenced farmland.
While retaining all its original exterior features the wagon now boasts a super comfortable luxury double bed, an intimate dining area, cozy sofa facing a wall mounted iPad with Netflix films and a stylish fully kitted-out kitchen with all modern conveniences.
Outside on the large terrace decking you’ll discover rocking sun loungers and a breakfasting area with spectacular valley views. This is also where Gina the Giraffe lives!
Right beside the Wagon we have created a warm and spacious shower cabin. The cabin has a unique super double-size shower, toilet, sink, hairdryer, electric points, heater and more circus themed accessories. We supply towels and dressing gowns for all guests.
Next to the shower cabin and the wagon there is a spacious tiled dining patio with modern gas barbeque, seating and parasol with the same amazing views of the valley and mountains. There's also a funky hammock, chairs and table snuggled in the olive trees that gives you intimate areas to enjoy a glass of wine and tapas.
All outside areas are tastefully lit for romantic evenings.
The Circus Wagon is in a rural location, local amenities are a 15 minute drive away.

The pool is shared with the hosts, however guests have priority during their stay.

Casa Canelo Circus Wagon is situated in the mountains of the campo 20 minutes northeast of the historic ‘Pueblo Blanco’ of Alora. A simple 50 minutes from Malaga airport and the famous beaches of the Costa del Sol. The perfect spot for visiting all the historical and geographic wonders of the area.
Guests regularly use the wagon as a base to visit El Chorro and the Caminito del Rey, Ronda, Marbella, El Torcal de Antequera, Mijas, Frigiliana, Granada and the Sierra Nevada.
The Wagon is hosted by Andrew and Lea-Anne. We are native Scots who’ve lived our lives in hospitality and our aim is to make your stay as peaceful or as eventful as you wish. Possibly both!
We do have dogs, however they are enclosed in our garden.
