Ciäsa7406 is located in the quiet village of Borgonovo, surrounded by stunning mountain peaks. The barn dates back to 1686 and was lovingly renovated in 2015. The 90 m² of the semi-detached house combines modern comfort with charm: heating, a fully equipped kitchen, three open bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Need more space? Right next door is the second half of the demi-detached house – Barn1686! Perfect for families or friends traveling together while still enjoying their privacy.

At 1027 meters above sea level lies the quiet village of Borgonovo, where Alberto Giacometti was born in 1901. The row of ancient 17th and 18th century houses along the main road are interrupted by small gardens and traditional barns. From the old stone bridge, you have a beautiful view of the church of San Giorgio.

It is only a 15min walk to Vicosoprano where the nearest grocery store (Prima) is located. The villages of St. Moritz, Silvaplana, Sils and Maloja can all be reached in 15-30 minutes by car. You can also visit the idyllic villages of Soligo and Castasegna in under 10 minutes by car. Chiavenna (IT) is 20 min car-drive away and the beautiful Lake Como can be reached in 45 minutes.

The barn offers the following amenities:

Living room:
Spacious living and dining room with a large sofa and cozy fireplace. The windows by the living room offer a fantastic view of the mountains. A JBL bluetooth speaker, board game classics, good wifi connection and a Samsung TV (incl. Netflix) ensure a great time even on (rare) overcast days. A yoga matt for your sports session is also available.

Kitchen:
The modern kitchen is equipped with a small fridge, induction stove, an oven and dishwasher. The dining table can accommodate 4-6 people. All essential cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, glasses, and coffee machine (Nespresso) are available. Of course you will also find a Fondue- and Raclette set in the barn.

Bedrooms:
The master bedroom in the attic with double bed (180x200cm) is equipped with two comfortable mattresses and pillows. The room cannot be completely darkened.

Bedroom 2:
The second bedroom is located in the basement and offers a double bed (160x200cm) with comfortable mattresses and pillows.
The room cannot be completely darkened.

Bedroom 3: The third bedroom is also located in the basement and offers a box spring bed suitable for children/adults (120x200 cm) with pillows. The bedroom can be a little darkened.

Bathroom:
The barn offers a large bathroom in the basement with a sink and shower. The second (smaller) bathroom is located in the attic, and is equipped with a shower and sink. Fresh towels are available. The hairdryer is located under the sink of each bathroom.

Garden:
Our garden, featuring a dining table and comfortable lounge chairs, offers a wonderful view of the mountains and is available for shared use with the other half of the house! An outdoor kitchen with a BBQ grill, pizza oven, and Green Egg is also available.

The picturesque towns of Chiavenna (IT), Maloja, Castasegna, Solgio, Sils, Silvaplana, St. Moritz, and Pontresina are best reached by car.

Parking:
Free parking is available at the end of the village in Borgonovo (just a 1-minute walk to the barn). Please note that these parking spaces are public and therefore cannot be reserved.

Prima in Vicosoprano: Within a 15-minute walking distance, you’ll find a selection of breads, braids, and pastries, as well as very tasty sweets. In addition to nut and chestnut cakes, a fantastic almond cake is available!

You can also find everything you need for the day: fruits & vegetables, dairy products, drugstore items & cleaning supplies, alcohol & cigarettes, Nespresso capsules.

At Via Barnöv 24, there is a small self-service shop where you can find selected specialties such as eggs, meat, pasta, tea, and much more.

Gas Station:
SOCAR gas station, Stampa: within a 5-minute walk, you'll find a selection of drinks, snacks, dairy products, drugstore & cleaning products, alcohol & cigarettes.

Fire wood for the fireplace and charcoal for the BBQ can be bought at the Do-It Mercato in Vicosoprano, at the gas station City Carburoil near the border in Castasegna or at Prima in Silvaplana.

Other things to note
The barn is a semi-detached house. There is a possiblilty that the other half is also rented during your stay.
