The house is in the medieval village of Tourtour, a member of Plus Beaux Village de France, close to the village's 12th century chateau and one of the 8 water fountains in the village. A brief stroll takes you into the village square and its many restaurants, bars and boutique shops. Many beautiful walks and bike rides surround the village. Nearby towns offer weekly markets and beautiful drives, including the Gorge du Verdon and its leisure activities.

The space
The property is on 3 levels. The ground floor contains a sitting area with fireplace and television, a dining table and kitchen. Narrow, winding stairs lead to the first floor comprising 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and separate toilet. The top level is a sitting area that leads onto the terrace.

This is an ancient house in the historic district of Tourtour. For anyone with reduced mobility there is no parking directly outside of the house, except to drop off your luggage, but car parking is available nearby, either in the village or the camping area on your way out of town and then a walk back to the house.

Access to the upper stories of the house is via very narrow, steep winding staircases. There is no bathroom on the ground floor.

We are but a short walk to the centre of the village, restaurants, bars and boutique shops.

The main 3 floors of the house are available and facilities in the basement are by request for use of the washing machine.

Other things to note
Of note to anyone with disabilities, this is an ancient house and access to the upper floors and basement, if needed, are via steep, narrow, winding staircases. There is no downstairs bathroom. As we are in the historical area of the village, there is no parking, but drop off is allowed for luggage/suitcases. Parking is close by but a walk back to the house.

We are a very short walk into the village centre for shops, restaurants and village bars.
