The space
Our home is a cozy 800 sq ft. It's most comfortable with a max of 4 adults. The main floor has a bedroom with king size bed, full bathroom w/shower and bathtub, full kitchen, living room and private balcony overlooking Lake Superior. The second story features a sleeping loft with twin bed, and a bedroom with a queen bed and en suite 1/4 bath. (Per fire code, the doorway to the queen bedroom is a blackout curtain, not a full door.)
Our kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, oil and spices. A refrigerator with freezer, stove top, oven, crock pot, and microwave give you a wide range of meal preparation options after a day enjoying all the North Shore has to offer.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not have air conditioning. The lake effect keeps the shoreline 10-20 degrees cooler than inland. On the rare hot summer days, you can cool the condo with the lake breeze and the ceiling and room fans.

Chateau LeVeaux offers a pool, hot tub, sauna, and game room, with billiards, ping pong, and foosball. Everything you need, all under one roof! On the front lawn, there is a swing set and slide.
In the main lobby you will find a large indoor lounge area with cable tv, dining tables, board games, puzzles, books, coloring books, and a DVD & VHS library. Off the lounge is a spacious rooftop deck with incredible views of Lake Superior!
All amenities can be accessed just down the hall from our unit.
Our favorite feature of the condo is the lake front access. On the opposite end of the property, there are two staircases down to the water. They are each about 50 stairs, but worth each one - the views and the waves are truly incredible! (Stairs are closed during winter months.)
Other things to note
• We share walls with other units and ask you be respectful of noise levels. Chateau LeVeaux has quiet hours from 10pm-8am.
• In Northern Minnesota we can get all sorts of bugs (mostly flies, gnats, fruit flies, mosquitoes and moths). Please do not leave the patio door open without the screen to limit their access.
• Larger animals such as deer, bears, weasels and bobcats been spotted on our property over the years. In general, they are not interested in humans but should you encounter one, do not feed them or engage.
• Our house keeper will deep clean, sanitize and change linens before each stay. We ask that you clean up after yourself before you leave.
• Chateau LeVeaux has semi-steep driveways which can get snowy and icy in the winter. Four wheel drive is recommended for North Shore travel.

Lutsen Resort, the largest ski resort in the upper Midwest offers skiing in the winter and alpine slides, a gondola with spectacular views, hiking, and a golf course with lake views in the summer.
Grand Marais, named America's coolest small town, is just a 30 mins drive. You will find offering numerous restaurants, shops, rock beaches and attractions.
