Relax and enjoy the beautiful, and peaceful Normandie countryside from our comfortable and cosy home in Normandie.
Amazing night skies for Star/Aurora watching, country roads for Cycling, beautifully kept gardens and patio, to sit and enjoy Pastries from the local Boulangerie.
Many sights to see, Mont St. Michel, Normandy Beaches, Medieval Villages and outdoor French Markets and local Restaurants.
Train to Paris a 10 min drive away.

The space
Located in a small Hamlet in Gathemo, Normandy.
Our French Farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
The ground floor bedroom has a King size Bed.
On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other is a queen bed.
There is a large country style kitchen, with a breakfast table. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped for home cooking.
There is a large dining room which seats 6 comfortably. The Living room has a new, efficient Wood burning stove, creating a lovely, cosy ambience for the cooler evenings.
The TV is streaming only, allowing you to connect to your streaming accounts.
The house has Fiber internet and is also fitted with a booster.
There is a New Heating system, with radiator’s in each room, which you can control by the thermostats on each radiator. Please do not attempt to programme the boiler itself, as the heating has been set to be controlled by the radiators.
There is a separate Utility room with a New Washer & Dryer for your use. Please make sure to empty the water tray and the lint basket.
We would also ask that you do not use the machine’s for washing or drying dog beds, blanket’s or towel’s etc.


There is a large, beautifully maintained garden laid to lawn with roses and hydrangeas. The garden has open, wooden, post and rail fencing.
The large Patio area is the ideal sun trap for ‘Alfresco Dinning’ with plenty of garden furniture to enjoy and relax.
The Garage is available to lock up bicycles upon request.

Other things to note
Centrally located with Train Station in Vire only a 10 minute drive away, with 5-6 direct Trains a day to Paris (2hr journey). Public Transportation available, but having a Car is highly recommended. Fantastic French Country roads for cycling, well maintained. The beautiful Seaside town of Granville is only a 50 minute ride away! Mt St. Michel only a 40 min drive! There is a Nearby Zoo, Water Park, Golf Course, Lake and Wooded Park for Hiking.

Neighborhood highlights

Our French Farmhouse is located in a small Hamlet of 6 homes, on top of a gentle hill with no through traffic. A 7 min walk to the Village of Gathemo, where the magnificent local boulangerie, Restaurant/Bar and Church are located. Many French country roads for walking around the house. Very Quiet and Peaceful. All Amenties are only a 5-10 min drive to either Vire or Sourdeval. They both have many restaurants and supermarkets as well each has weekly outdoor markets.
