Bed and breakfast in our Malta Ghjalla family home, in Serra di Scopamène (Alta Rocca). Private entrance, shaded garden, summer kitchen. Three bedrooms (6 people) with shared bathroom. Quiet relaxing, cool granite walls, century-old lime tree, stream and birdsong for waking up. Free WiFi, coffee, tea and canistrelli offered. Ideal for hiking: Aiguilles de Bavella, Cuscionu plateau, clear rivers; beaches 45 min away. Authentic stay, warm Corsican welcome. To be repeated!

The space
We chose to open the 1st floor of our house, with an independent entrance. Three double bedrooms, with all the comforts, that we wanted to keep in the village spirit, in order to make you discover the Corsica of the mountains.

Guest access
u same floor, the corridor serves 3 rooms without facing: the room of Mina (grandmother), the room of Missia (grandfather), both with balcony, and that of Lilla with 2 windows.

A camara di Lilla has the authentic charm of a traditional Corsican room, with its beautiful wooden bed and wardrobe adorned with a large mirror. Its 2 windows make it bright, and the view of the chestnut grove is very relaxing.

When you wake up, you will hear the whisper of water flowing down the garden.
Shared bathroom, separate toilet.

In the hallway, a nespresso coffee machine, a water boiler, a fridge and a microwave are at your disposal.
We offer coffee pods, tea, and canistrelli (traditional dry cookies) for your breakfast.

Other things to note
Malta Ghjalla (in Corsican "the yellow skin", i.e. the second skin of the chestnut) is the house built by my grandfather in 1932, and the cradle of our family. You will also find a dry stone chestnut dryer, a witness to its past.
Typical house of the region, entirely in granite and on 2 floors, it is located in the heart of the village, with a pleasant garden and a stream that flows below, near which is a fountain of fresh water and an old wash house.

To wake up in Malta Ghjalla is to open your eyes with the sound of water and the song of birds ...

A 5-minute walk away, the village's bar-restaurant, A Scopa, will serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a wonderful view of the Rizzanese Valley, up to Sartène.

We can put you in touch with a concierge service available to best organize your stay in Alta Rocca.

Bonghjornu ! My name is Denis, I am Corsican and I share between Ajaccio and Serra-di-Scopamène. In this authentic little village in Alta Rocca, I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful family home. With my partner Sylvie, we chose to renovate a floor of the house, in order to open it to visitors wishing to discover authentic Corsica, that of the mountains. In Malta Ghjalla, you will discover a real family home, where you feel '' at home ''. The garden, the huge lime tree and its refreshing shade, the surrounding greenery, the murmur of the water and the birdsong will make your stay in Malta Ghjalla a moment apart in your holiday in Corsica. We can't wait to meet you there. A prestu! See you soon!
