Bed and breakfast in our family home Malta Ghjalla, in Serra di Scopamène (Alta Rocca). Private entrance, shaded garden, summer kitchen. Three bedrooms (6 people) with shared bathroom. Calm and relaxing, fresh granite walls, century-old linden tree, stream and birdsong to wake you up. Free Wi-Fi, coffee, tea and canistrelli offered. Ideal for hiking: Bavella needles, Cuscionu plateau, clear rivers; beaches 45 min away. Authentic stay, warm Corsican welcome. A presto!
The space
We chose to open the 1st floor of our house, with a separate entrance. Three double bedrooms, with all the comforts, which we wanted to keep in the village spirit, in order to let you discover Corsica from the mountains.

Guest access
On the same floor, the hallway serves 3 bedrooms not overlooked: Mina's room (grandmother), Missia's room (grandfather), both with balconies, and Lilla's with 2 windows.
A camara di Lilla has the authentic charm of a traditional Corsican room, with its magnificent wooden bed and wardrobe adorned with a large mirror. Its 2 windows make it bright, and the view of the chestnut grove is very relaxing.
When you wake up, you will hear the murmur of the water flowing below the garden.
Shared bathroom, separate toilet.
In the hallway, a Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle, a fridge and a microwave are at your disposal.
We offer coffee pods, tea, and canistrelli (traditional dry cookies) for your breakfast.

Other things to note
Malta Ghjalla (in Corsican "yellow skin", i.e. the second skin of the chestnut) is the house built by my grandfather in 1932, and the cradle of our family. You will also find a dry stone chestnut dryer, a testament to its past.
Typical house of the region, entirely in granite and on 2 floors, it is located in the heart of the village, with a pleasant garden and a stream that flows below, near which there is a fountain of fresh water and an old washhouse.
Waking up in Malta Ghjalla means opening your eyes to the sound of water and birdsong...
A 5-minute walk away, the village bar-restaurant, A Scopa, will serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a wonderful view of the Rizzanese valley, as far as Sartène.
We can connect you with a concierge service available to best organize your stay in Alta Rocca.

Bonghjornu!
My name is Denis, I am Corsican and I share between Ajaccio and Serra-di-Scopamene. In this authentic little village in Alta Rocca, I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful family home.
With my partner Sylvie, we chose to renovate one floor of the house, in order to open it to visitors eager to discover authentic Corsica, that of the mountains.
In Malta Ghjalla, you will discover a real family home, where you feel '' at home ''. The garden, the huge lime tree and its refreshing shade, the surrounding greenery, the murmur of the water and the singing of the birds will make your stay in Malta Ghjalla a moment apart in your holiday in Corsica.
We can't wait to meet you there.
A prestu! See you soon!
