This bright, well-designed Scandinavian-style chalet is the perfect cozy retreat. Nestled in the woods on a plot of 20+ acres, it offers scenic views and a private hiking trail leading to beautiful vistas, transforming into a winter wonderland for skiing adventures, a summer paradise for outdoor relaxation, and a vibrant canvas for leaf peeping during Vermont's stunning fall foliage season.
Goodland wood burning hot tub is available 365 days a year.
The space
The cabin is a labor of love. This garage / barn was turned into a beautiful home with 22ft high ceilings, large windows, design furniture and a beautiful concrete floor.
Unwind under the stars in our Goodland wood-fired hot tub — a cozy outdoor experience surrounded by nature. Heat it the traditional way with firewood, sit back, and enjoy a relaxing soak after a day of exploring Vermont. Perfect for slow mornings, sunset views, or chilly evenings year-round.
The large living room with a Moroccan rug and a wood stove will keep you cozy and warm during the winter months. Read a good book in our comfortable slow chair from Vitra. Our bookshelves reach until the ceiling and I am sure you find something you like. We don't have a tv, but we do have a projector. So bring your own laptop and watch a movie like being in a movie theater.
Wake up with beautiful views (watch the chipmunks jump from tree to tree) and enjoy your morning coffee or tea in a king bed while the sun comes up through the large window. The ensuite bathroom with heated floors and a walk in shower. Bedding from Parachute.
4 XL twin bunkbeds with very comfortable mattresses and Artemide reading lights.
Bathrooms with views over the woods, heated floors with high end materials like Duravit and Grohe.
Large kitchen with Bertazzoni range, dishwasher and beautiful soap stone countertops. Tons of herbs to give flavor to your meal. Hawkins New York plates and cups. A table for 8 to share a great meal.
We have a Peloton bike so if you like a workout bring your spinning shoes.
Outdoors we have several seating areas to enjoy a good meal or a drink. Weber grill (seasonable), lounge chair, hammock and a fire pit. Enjoy a warm water rain shower outdoors.
In wintertime enjoy the amazing sledding opportunities on our property.
We also offer a newly built cabin (2pax) on the same property (see separate listing via our profile page) which can be booked separate or together - no worries, this is out of view from the Chalet.
The home is child friendly with plenty of fun outdoor activities (sand pit, mud kitchen, swing, picnic table for children and a trampoline). We do offer for families with children a mini crib, Stokke highchairs, Brio train set, Magnatiles and great children's books.
SNOW/MUD Season:
Snow/Mud season runs from mid November until mid April. Our driveway is plowed, but to make it up the drive way you will need a AWD/4WD during snow/mud season and winter tires for safety. At times, close coordination with the host will be needed to navigate snowy- and/or muddy patches on the road leading up to our house in between plowing/grooming by the town.
