Our Nordic forest chalet is perfect for spending quality time as a couple (or with a kid), or for a work-retreat (with high-speed WiFi). The wooden interior is warm and cozy. The full-height windows offer stunning views over a forested valley.

The open-concept kitchen and living room keep you in the conversation while cooking. If you prefer to cook outside, there is a fire pit with a grill and outdoor dining table.

Only 70-min drive from Montreal. The lake is a 25-min walk if you park nearby.

The space
The chalet has an open-concept kitchen, living room, and dining area on the ground floor. The half-bathroom has a sauna.

The mezzanine bedroom has a queen bed and (optional) twin bed, as well as a work desk with high-speed WiFi.

There is a 2-person sauna in the bathroom. The outdoor dining table (in the spring-summer) and fire pit overlook the forested valley.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, ceramic stove-top, oven, microwave, full fridge and freezer. There are heated floors and a firewood heater or air conditioning in the summer. There is a front-loading washer and dryer available for use.

The cabin is located in a private forest, there are other cabins that are well-separated from each other by forest, so it feels very private.

The area has walking trails through the 900-acre forest and two swimmable lakes a short hike away—the closer lake is a 2-min drive plus 20-min light hike. An outdoor playground and pond are a 20-min walk from the chalet.

Guest access
Guests are provided a key code for an easy self check-in. There is free parking and an electric car charger on site.

The chalet is located by a 900-acre private forest with other chalets well-separated from each other by a mature forest so it feels quite private.

It is a brief 15-min drive to Rawdon, where there are many restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and impressive waterfalls. There is also a nearby Bison farm (6-min drive), a gorgeous spa (15-min drive) and the Montcalm ski hills (22-min drive).

Other things to note
A memory foam dog bed is provided (3' x 4' or 90 x 120 cm). Dogs are allowed for a fee — kindly include your pet in the reservation request.

Two bundles of firewood for indoor/outdoor are included. Extra bundles are $5 each and available in self-serve.
Note that the entrance has 3 steps; it is not wheelchair-accessible.

The water is safe to use for washing, but too salty to drink. Potable water for drinking and cooking is provided with an automatic dispenser. At certain times of year, the tap water may have some sulphur.
