The space
The Surprise chalet is a stand-alone 50-year old cottage that has been newly modernized in 2021, with continuous investments like a modern new front door in 2023. The chalet offers guests the comforts of home with a charming mountain holiday feel. Guests have access to all rooms in the two-story chalet with 76 m2 living space, including washing machine and drying rack (no tumbler). The upstairs living space and the two full bathrooms with shower are modern, and the floors have been updated. The downstairs bedrooms are the original building material.
Guests will enjoy the uncluttered modern asthetic, with Wi-Fi access, USB-C/A chargers, and Sonos speaker. The kitchen is eqipped with pots, pans, untensils, serving dishes and plates, Nespresso machine and milk foamer, toaster, mixer and many other food prep items. The house has raclette and fondue sets for guest use. In Nov 2021, the interior was repainted. The main living area has a new sofa, a solid walnut wood dining table, new lighting, shelves and modern chalet design pieces. The master bedroom has a new bed, a Swiss design classic 'Habit Hans Gugelot' and a new premium mattress, the 'Emma mattress', for a great night sleep. The double room and bunk bed rooms have new premium mattresses and new bedframes. The duvets are new with ecological, anti-allergic and anti-microbial bamboo fiber filling that is breathable and maintains an ideal sleep climate for guests. The pillows are new and down filled. High quality guest linens and towels are included with rental.
The chalet is strictly non-smoking inside, and pets are not allowed. The chalet is ideal for childern with outdoor garden space perfect for play.
