Peace and quiet

This home is in a quiet area.
Nestled on the edge of Stanislaus National Forest, Chalet Bruin boasts lofted A-frame ceilings, dual stone fireplaces and a full kitchen. A wrap-around deck claims both sunrise and sunset views, plus a 6-person hot tub, an alpine bocce ball court, a library of board games, and a wet bar keeps boredom at bay. This A-frame Chalet defines "cabin comfort" and is only minutes from groceries, Snowshoe Brewery, Hinterhaus Distillery, and White Pines Lake, and a short drive from Bear Valley Ski Resort.

The space
This 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, two-level A-frame cabin and detached adu property - easily sleeps 12. On the main floor of the chalet, you'll find two-bedrooms, one bathroom, laundry closet, kitchen, a dining room with pellet stove, and the wet-bar. Three-sliding doors open to the wrap around deck. On the top floor, you'll find a living-room with fireplace and smart-tv, master bedroom and dual sink bathroom.

The detached garage (with a/c and heat) has been converted into a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table and kids air hockey table. A small washer & dryer, sink and extra refrigerator completes the garage.

Head up stairs from the garage and you'll find another living area, kitchenette, small dining area, the 4th bedroom on the property and the 3rd bathroom. In the attic you'll find the master the bedroom.

Across 5 total bedrooms, you'll find:

Ever hear of alpine soccer? Well, Chalet Bruin has alpine bocce ball (not as sloped as alpine soccer though; that'd be crazy).

Neighborhood highlights

Tucked within lush forest at 4,000 foot elevation, Arnold, CA is your gateway to hiking, fishing, mountain biking, white water rafting, skiiing, wine tasting and romantic weekend getaways. Just minutes from Calaveras Big Trees State Park, the town of Murphys, foothill Gold Country, and the Stanislaus National Forest, and 30 mintues from Bear Valley Ski Resort. The Meadowmont subdivision where this home is located has been a backbone of the Arnold area for many years as it has the only grocery store in Arnold, a shopping center, brewery, lodging and more. On the north side of Meadowmont, the neighborhood backs to roughly 8,500 acres of Stanislaus National Forest lands (called an interface), which provides plenty of hiking, biking, and hoof opportunities, as well as a connector to the new Arnold Rim Trail.
